Holland and Barrett Beauty Advent Calendar 2021

This years Advent Calendar from Holland and Barrett has been revealed and it is an absolute bargain and so much better than the offering from last year.

This advent calendar will be available exclusively online, with the waiting list right here and a word of warning, if this is the one you want, it sold out really quickly last year! 

This is a must have advent calendar for anyone looking for a vegan and cruelty free and it is worth over a £170, but will go on sale for just £45 and it features 25 products from the likes of UpCircle, Q+A, Weleda and REN to name just a few.

Roccabox The Glow Up Edit

The August Edition of Roccabox has arrived and it is dedicated to giving your skin that glowing, radiant look that we all crave, especially now we have some freedom back and are able to meet up with friends and family after what has been the most unusual of circumstances that I am sure none of us ever expected to see.

Inside the box is five products which features a collection of brightening skincare, illuminating makeup and invigorating body care to get you through the rest of Summer.

The first product out of the box and also this months hero product, comes from Elikya Beauty with the Illuminating Highlighter in Gold and it is incredibly pretty.

This is a 100% Natural Highlighter which is made with hibiscus essential oil. It has a texture which can best be described as being soft and silky and what I love is how incredibly easy it is to work with. It can be applied alone or mixed with your foundation and is ideal for applying to those targeted areas of the face: browbones, temples, upper cheekbones, or the top of Cupid’s arch.

The second product within this box comes from a brand called Vegan by Happy Skin with their Original Skin Essence Toner, a brand and product I have never come across or used before, so I am intrigued to see how it works.

Described as being the perfect skin balancer, it should be used after cleansing but before moisturising. Infused with natural ingredients that are known for their skin-soothing properties, so you will find the likes of aloe vera juice, chamomile and calendula, all of which leave the skin feeling softer, more nourished and calmed after using.

The third product comes from Spectrum Brushes with the Emerald Green Domed Powder Brush and I have this brush from a few of the Spectrum Collections over the years and it is a delight to use.

With its incredible soft bristles, it is perfect for using with powders, be that your foundation, bronzer, blusher or even setting powder. It is lightweight to hold and the handle is easy to grip and what I really like is how the brush manages to collect enough powder product to not cause fallout.

The fourth product is a Body Cleanser and it comes from a brand called What's In It For Me? Again, this is another brand I haven't as yet come across and it is part of the reason why I am such a huge fan of beauty boxes.

This Body Cleanser combines aloe vera, witch hazel and grapefruit extract to not only cleanse and detoxify, but the addition of cooling peppermint and rosemary oil also help to calm and invigorate the skin and body.  There is also some advice to have a blast of cold water onto your skin after showering to really bring that zing to life!

The final product in this box comes from Vita Liberata with their Heavenly Elixir in the shade medium.  Personally, I am not a user of self-tan products, I have too pale a skin tone to even debate giving something a try and I also don't want to end up looking like ive been stained with creosote. 

However, this Heavenly Elixir is described as having a luscious cocoa scent and as a product it is hydrating and helps to lock moisture into the skin whilst delivering a most naturally flawless bronze shade to the body, which is then said to continue to develop over the next few days and it doesn't begin to fade for 10 days.

I really like the contents of this months box and I love that there is a nice mixture of different products once again with the inclusion of both makeup and skincare. If you didn't know, Roccabox is a beauty box subscription service and there are further subscription offers available to choose from with boxes starting at just £10 per month plus P&P.

BeautyPro 12 Days of Christmask Advent Calendar Revealed

BeautyPro is a brand I have to come to know through beauty boxes with regards to their amazing sheet masks and over the last few months, I have absolutely loved using the Coconut Infused mask, which to date has been my favourite.  If you are a fan of sheet masks, then I have no doubt you will love this offering as an Advent Calendar from BeautyPro.

The BeautyPro 12 Days of Christmask Advent Calendar will launch in a few weeks time and it features 12 masks for the face, hands, feet and eyes and given it will be priced under £40, it is an absolute bargain to have.

Rituals The Ritual of Advent Calendar's Revealed

Once again this year, as with 2020, Rituals are to release two Advent Calendars one of which is 2D and the other 3D and both are just absolutely stunning and a must-have item if you are a fan of the brand.

The 3D version of the Advent Calendar features a festive village scene and is said to have contents inside worth £150 and you can expect to find products such as Mini Candles from the Private Collection, foaming shower gels which I personally adore and a Rêve de Hanami EDP.  

This 3D Advent calendar will go on sale in early September and be priced at just under £90 here and the contents are pretty amazing.

I am already a huge fan of The Ritual of Jing Collection, a review of which you can find right here, but it is absolutely lovely.

The second Advent Calendar from the brand, the 2D version is designed to look like a Rituals Townhouse store and is again decorated in gold, which is quite christmassy.  Inside, there will be 25 products from the brand and you can expect to see candles, body care, hand care and a few other treats.  

This Advent calendar is said to be worth £120 and will go on sale for just under £60, so an absolute bargain to be had.

Again, this Advent Calendar has so many amazing products featured and whilst there are similarities between the two, for me the differences make it hard to choose which would I would prefer the most!
