The May Edition of Lookfantastic's Beauty Box, known as the Ethereal edition, is all about ensuring you have everything you need to be Summertime ready whilst keeping you safe-on-the-go as we make preparations to meet friends and family, many of whom we won't have seen for over a year now.
Packed with 6 skincare products from an amazing collection of brands, this box will ensure you are literally glowing in time for Summer.
The first product in my box comes from a brand called Comfort Zone with their Hydramemory Gel Cream (15ml / £11.25).
Described as being a refreshing but balancing moisturiser, it has an innovative sorbet texture, which when applied to the skin delivers immediate refreshment. The formula is infused with macro Hyaluronic Acid to attract moisture to the skin. Moringa Oil from certified fair trade cultivations provides multiple skin benefits, including anti-ageing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties to promote a clearer, more radiant and more youthful-looking complexion.
The second product within this months box comes from ECooking with their Peeling Mask (15ml / £9.90). This is a brand I have mentioned on this blog quite a few times and one I have enjoyed getting to know.
This mask is, which is fragrance free and vegan, uses Alpha Hydroxy Acids which includes the likes of Lactic, Salicylic and Glycolic,to eliminate dead, dull skin. Used weekly, the natural plant extracts and antioxidant Vitamin E which work in tandem to help to minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles, whilst tightening skin and enhancing luminosity. It is a delight to use on the skin and one of my favourite products from the brand.
Next up is Dr Botanicals Kiwi Superfood Cooling Eye Serum (15ml / £14.90) which is a bit of a mouthful but sounds delightful.
This serum is designed to hydrate the delicate eye contour whilst at the same time supporting fresh rejuvenated under-eyes. Its formula features the likes of kiwi fruit oil which works to lock in moisture and Grapefruit which is rich in vitamin C and whose job it is to give the skin a brighter appearance. Then we have Matrililne peptide 6 and its aim is to soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, while at the same time, offering protection from environmental aggressors.
From Burt's Bees for the fourth product we have the cult product most people associate with the brand - a lip balm (full size worth £3.99). In the box there will be three different offerings and in mine, I got Cucumber Mint rather than Super Sweet Cherry or Fresh Watermelon.
From The Vintage Company, a fun and kitsch brand, the fifth product within this months box is the Silicone Exfoliating Pad (Full size worth £3.99).
The pastel pink silicone exfoliating pad feature super-soft bristles that effectively, yet gently work to buff away dirt and dead skin to reveal a gorgeous, glowing complexion. On the back of the pad is a suction pad which means the pad can be stuck to your sink or bathroom tiles so you never forget where you have left it and it also allows the pad to air dry too.
From ThisWorks for the 6th product within the box, we have Stress Check Kind Hands (30ml / £6). Over the past year, I have been through tube after tube of hand cream, so another one to add to my hand bag is always welcomed.
Described as being an intensely moisturising hand cream for use after hand sanitiser for dry and sensitive hands that are in need of some relief. It uses Vitamin E and Shea Butter which provide instant and long-lasting comfort and they work alongside Omega rich Bio Boost oil which works hard to counter the effects of the environment. What I love about this cream is the scent because it uses the likes of Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Neroli which come together to check the stress levels and then help to soothe an anxious mind.
Hiding inside my box was an extra product from L'Oreal with their Anti Bacterial Hand Sanitiser, something I actually thought was a Micellar Water until I looked closer.
The people over in the L'Oreal Laboratories have made this formula which is described as being a specifically formulated gel to sanitise hands in 30 seconds without feeling dry. It uses Glycerin for its hydrating properties, leaving hands clean yet comfortable whilst at the same time having those all important numbers - 70% alcohol and kills 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds.
Once again, this month Lookfantastic has managed to create a great box which features a really lovely mixture of products within this box and I also happen to love the theme.
