Essence Cosmetics Perfect Shine Lipstick

I am really enjoying getting to know some of the newer Essence Makeup products which launched over the last few months, more so because my local Wilko often resembles a jumble sale with no products for me to even swatch before making a purchase.  The Crystal Power Collection, which I featured a few weeks ago, is one I have really enjoyed using.

Today I am sharing the Essence Perfect Shine Lipstick (£2.99), which is available in six shades - Perfect Moment, Perfect Day, Perfect Romance, Perfect Look, Perfect Plan and Perfect Match.  I have shade 05 which is Perfect Plan and it can best be described as a warm Dusky Rose shade, the shade I would usually opt for when choosing a new lipstick.

Perfect Plan comes packaged inside a rose gold metallic tube, the lipstick itself has a flat, slightly slanted tip and this helps to ensure full coverage.  The lipstick has a really creamy-soft texture and it has a super shiny finish. As you apply to the lips, it feels much more balm-like than it does a lipstick and it is packed full of ingredients which include both Vitamin E and Shea Butter which nourish and moisturise. 

I wasn't expecting to get much wear time from this lipstick, but I was surprised to find I got a good 3-4 hours before I needed to re-apply, which for a £2.99 lipstick, I personally find impressive. Available from Wilkinsons, Essence Cosmetics and Walmart.

ASOS have some really good collaborations with brands when it comes to beauty boxes and the current offering comes from My Clarins.  This exclusive collaboration was priced at just £19 and is an absolute bargain.

My Clarins, which features fruit and plant-based ingredients in all their natural and nourishing glory is described as being the new gen-line for Clarins. This edit features five travel-size products which include:

• Clarins 01 Natural Lip Perfector: 5ml - This lip balm lip balm can be worn alone for a sheer, subtle tint, or over your favourite lip shade
• My Clarins RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist: 1.5ml - - This mist mist helps refresh dry, tired skin
• My Clarins RE-MOVE Purifying Cleansing Gel: 30ml - This foaming gel cleanser helps remove traces of makeup, while purifying and protecting skin
• My Clarins RE-BOOST Refreshing Hydrating Cream: 15ml - Described as being a lightweight, fast-absorbing moisturiser contains nourishing coconut water and detoxifying Alpenrose extract
