You know I’ve got a soft spot for Korean skincare, especially when it combines herbal tradition with modern innovation – and that’s exactly where Belif sits. The brand takes 19th-century apothecary formulas and gives them a fresh, skin-first upgrade and you can purchase all of these products and more from Boots!
I've spent the past few months trialling some of their bestsellers from the Aqua Bomb and True Cream lines, and here are my thoughts – the good, the great, and the ones I’ll be repurchasing.
Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask
Overnight hydration for dull, tired skin. This sleeping mask is what I reach for when my skin looks lacklustre or feels a bit worn out.
The texture is a jelly-pudding consistency – lightweight, bouncy, and cooling.
Key Ingredients:
Scottish Heather – soothes and protects
Lady’s Mantle, Calendula & Oat Extracts – excellent for calming and recovery
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) – supports barrier and locks in hydration
Vitamin E & Turmeric – antioxidant protection and glow
My thoughts:
I use this 2–3 times a week as the final step in my night routine. It leaves my skin feeling calm, refreshed, and nicely hydrated by morning. No stickiness, no clogging – just comfort. Ideal after a long day or a bit too much sun exposure.
Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner
A lightweight, hydrating base layer. This toner doesn’t sting or strip – it’s much closer to an essence than a traditional toner.
It preps the skin to absorb serums and moisturisers more effectively.
Key Ingredients:
Glycerin & Betaine – attract and retain moisture
Lady’s Mantle & Calendula – calming and balancing
My thoughts:
I apply this directly with my hands after cleansing, and it gives my skin that first drink of moisture. It’s very gentle and works well in both morning and evening routines. I’ve noticed fewer dry patches since adding it in.
Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser
Gentle, effective and non-stripping. This jelly-to-foam cleanser is ideal for sensitive skin.
It cleans without drying, and works perfectly as a second cleanse or gentle morning wash.
Key Ingredients:
Glycerin – keeps skin soft and hydrated
Soapwort Extract – a natural foaming agent that’s not harsh
Lady’s Mantle – soothes and conditions
My thoughts:
This doesn’t remove full-face makeup on its own, but it’s lovely as a second cleanse. My skin never feels tight or squeaky, and it’s the sort of product you can rely on to keep your barrier happy.
Aqua Bomb Eye Gel
Depuffs, hydrates and brightens in one. This is a brilliant lightweight eye treatment that actually makes a difference.
It sinks in quickly and doesn’t interfere with makeup – in fact, concealer applies better after using it.
Key Ingredients:
Caffeine – helps reduce puffiness
Hyaluronic Acid – plumps fine lines and hydrates
Niacinamide & Vitamin C – tackle dark circles and dullness
Calendula – soothing and anti-inflammatory
My thoughts:
This has replaced heavier eye creams in my morning routine. It’s cooling, effective, and doesn’t irritate – even when my eyes are a bit tired or sore from too much screen time. Definitely one to try if you're after an everyday eye gel that delivers on its claims.
Final Thoughts
What I love about Belif is that the formulas are straightforward, well-balanced and actually do what they say. There’s no overpowering fragrance, no unnecessary gimmicks – just skin-first products rooted in herbal science and designed to work in harmony with your skin.
