I don't think REN Clean Skincare needs an introduction for my blog or my social media if we are being honest. It is one of my favourite brands and as yet, I haven't found a product I dislike.

Strengthening the skin's barrier is a term you will be hearing a lot about right now and ultimately, as your skin barrier weakens with age, it is never too late to take care of it.
Your skin barrier is the outermost layer and it is called the stratum corneum and it is vital, possibly more so than you think. Its entire purpose is to protect your skin from all of those environmental stressors, irritations, and of course inflammation, while at the same time holding onto all the good stuff that we need, like moisture. This Essence is powered by a synergetic trio of postbiotic bio-ferments and potent antioxidants:

This Essence can be used both morning and evening as part of your routine and it is as simple as it can be. All you need to do is apply 3 drops directly into your hands and then gently pat it onto a freshly cleansed face and neck, if in a morning after your toner but before moisturising and in an evening the same, and not only will it work to boost hydration but to also support your microbiome and make all your other skincare work harder.
I have used a few Essence products over the years and this one has a more serum-like texture and different to many others I have tried, so you really don't need more than those 3-drops. I loved it as soon as I used it, the texture, the lack of chemical smell and the feeling of my skin being hydrated was an absolute winner. So easy to use and slot into your routine, it is hard not to love.
