Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Anti-Ageing Foundation

Right now Elizabeth Arden is right up there in my must have, need to have product wants. I use City Smart every single day it is that good and I am close to needing a new tube. Then in comes the brand new PREVAGE® Anti-Ageing Foundation with SPF 30 and it wows me from the first use. 

We all know living in the UK we have unpredictable weather, it is part of the Great British charm and a reason I love having changeable seasons, knowing that it could be sunny one minute and then you'll be drenched the next. Add to that living in the big smoke, the constant pollution really does wreak havoc on the skin, so Prevage® has come to the rescue.

On the skin it is incredibly lightweight but gives amazing coverage. My preference when it comes to liquid foundations is that they are not too heavy on the skin and also not to feel as though I have caked it on. Designed to give a long-lasting and dewy look, this foundation creates a naturally luminous complexion with a look that lasts all day and it has SPF30 for extra protection. As the texture is quite lightweight, it blends onto the skin like a dream, infused with Idebenone which is the worlds most powerful antioxident and helps protect skin from oxidative stress and free radical assaults, a leading cause of the visible signs of aging. Other key ingredients include:

• Hydra-Pigments – Encapsulated, moisture-rich pigments meld with the skin creating a shield to help the skin retain moisture while delivering precise long-wear colour instantly blur imperfections on the skin,

Available in 8 different shades, I have shade 2 which is pretty near perfect for my skintone and I apply using either a beauty blender or foundation brush and thanks to a tip from Rebecca Restrepo, Elizabeth Arden's Global Makeup Artist I learnt how to apply PREVAGE® Anti-Aging Foundation properly - “when applying PREVAGE® Anti-Aging Foundation, begin at the center of the face, where the most discoloration occurs, and then blend outward to create an even and balanced complexion”.

If you havent guessed already, then I am a huge fan of this foundation, it is an absolute delight to use, I love how it feels on the skin, the coverage and that it lasts all day without the need to re-apply. PREVAGE® Anti-Ageing Foundation SPF 30 is available in eight shades from 1 September 2016 in department stores nationwide and online, priced at £45 for 30ml.

Alpha-H Trio TSV on QVCUK

Alpha-H is a brand that has a bit of a cult status here in the land of blogging and I for one hold it in a very high status.  If you have never tried the brand, if you love the brand, if you need to stock up, then you need to get ready to go over to QVC this Thursday because I have an amazing deal to share with you today. Inside this box are three products which will give you a massive saving! 

Liquid Gold Rejuventing Cream (50ml rrp £51) - This is a rich evening moisturiser which is ideal for skin refining, enhanced smoothness, radiance and luminosity. This innovative wrinkle and pigmentation repair cream is formulated with Argan stem cells to enhance and protect while Vitamin C is included to firm and brighten the skin. Matrixyl-6 which is an advanced lipo-peptide which works to reduce wrinkle depth, Linoleric-rich Avocado Oil, soothing Aloe Vera and nourishing Red Algae to leave your skin feeling moisturised, conditioned, hydrated and supple.

Designed to be used on alternate nights so that you alternate it with Liquid Gold, this cream is to be used on face, neck and décolletage and when applying, use an upward and outward circular movements, avoiding the eye area. I have been using this for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it, the richness of the cream is divine and it really does leave my skin feel so supple after using.

Liquid Gold (100ml rrp £33.50) - A product that needs no introduction is this global best seller. A powerful revitilising and firming lotion which is described as being an 'overnight facial' helping to brighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin whilst at the same time working to visibly improve the appearance of fine line and wrinkles, open pored and pigmentation.

Designed to be used on a cleansed face and three alternate nights per week, using a cotton wool pad you apply to your face, neck and decolletage.  The first time I used it there was a slight tingling sensation which wasn't unpleasant at all, but by the second and third uses nothing further.  It leaves no redness on my skin, doesn't irritate and to get the best use out of it, don't use any other cream once you have applied Liquid Gold, simply allow it to do its job.  One thing to remember is that whenever you use any products which are described as being 'resurfacing', an SPF the following day is an absolute must.

The final item in the box is Absolute Eye Complex (30ml £37) and I absolutely loved it from the first application.  Described as being a hydrating, skin lifting and perfecting serum which is uniquely designed to be applied to lash level and over the entire eyelid to help combat dark circles, dark shadows, puffiness, hooded lids and fine lines. Using natural flower acids derived from Hibiscus petals smooth and brighten the skin whilst Hyaluronic Acid and Tetrapeptides lift and plump the eye contour.

You can also acts use this treatment as an eye make-up primer and it can be applied over make-up, during the day, to revitalise the area because it has a light-reflecting, blurring effect on skin irregularities and wrinkles. Designed to be using both morning and evening, you gently pat the cream around the entire orbital area right up to the lash line, once it has disappeared into the skin, applying your concealer is an absolute dream too!

Right now I can reveal that the price is going to be £39.98 and it will be on QVC on the 15th September. The total worth of the products is £121.50 so it is as I have said, a massive saving!

Viktor and Rolf Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum Intense

Viktor and Rolf need no introduction when it comes to perfumes and fragrances and when this Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum Intense dropped on my doorstep, I was pretty excited to give it a try because I have read and seen so much about it.

The packaging is amazingly pretty and stands out immediately, bright pink in design the the box hosts a 3D V&R seal which is a nice detail to see. Inside the bottle is simple stunning, taking the form of a bow, which is replicated on the front of the box, again the 3D seal is present and I think it is just stunningly presented.

Viktor & Rolf have described this new fragrance as 'The "Haute Couture" reinterpretation of Viktor & Rolf’s sweet Bonbon perfume from 2014, Bonbon Couture is said to be a more intensive, luxurious and stronger than the original'. Now I love the original and was slightly worried this would not meet my expectations, but it blew them right out of the water and it is just absolutely divine and it is a much more intense version of Bonbon and much longer lasting. The fragrance opens with a juicy combination of mandarin, neroli oil and peach which make up the top notes and as soon as the fragrance is spritzed you get a hit of fruit, as the scent settled we get the heart notes orange blossom and Sambac jasmine which is then sweetened by a potent caramel note that is not sickly at all and for me the Jasmine is just stunning. The base notes are made up of sandalwood and patchouli, with vanilla and blonde tobacco giving it a woody accord that works well alongside the fruit.

Once spritzed this is a scent which packs a powerful punch and as it settles, the fragrance is lovely, noticeable and long-lasting, the kind of scent you don't need to reapply because you can smell it all day long and it is perfect for any season and any time of day whether you are going to work, out with friends, on a date or just because you want to smell amazing.

This fragrance will be available at Selfridges from 14th September and will cost £57 for a 30ml bottle, £79 for a 50ml bottle and £109 for a 90ml bottle.
