Homewares and Textiles - Shopping I didn't expect to enjoy

If I have learnt one thing during this pandemic, it is that I do not enjoy decorating. I don't mind the moving of furniture, cleaning, wiping and packing up of any object(s) that might be in the way, but the rest of it I find too stressful.
Over the last 5 weeks, the mister and I have renovated our lounge, it is one of those jobs that has been on the to-do list forever and now it is 99% done. All that we have left to do is agree on a new sofa, have the carpet fitted because we have decided against fixing the parquet flooring underneath.

What I have enjoyed doing during this renovation is homeware shopping. Not something I ever thought I would admit too. I am as happy as a pig in the proverbial when it comes to beauty shopping and I can find myself lost for hours in any beauty hall in the West End, but the thought of wandering round homeware stores was not something I had on my agenda.
Homewares and Textiles - Things I didn't expect to enjoy
So having been to Dunelm to get a rug, which I happen to absolutely love, plus Ikea to get some Kallax additions for our new unit, to find they are out of stock, we did come across a site called Amy's Deco which has the most brilliant wall clocks.

What we loved about this site was the chance to essentially create a clock which fits with the colour scheme and there are so many options to choose from.

The Alpha Clock is priced at £89, though there is currently an offer to save 20% and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Made of glossy plexiglass, each individual piece is approximately 3mm thick and when it arrives, which thankfully it does with a stencil, the pieces are really well made and protected with sticker coverings to prevent scratching.  If you are looking for a new clock and want something a little bit different and out of the ordinary, this one ticks a whole lot of boxes.

So now the clock is up, as well as finding a sofa, all we have left is a few final jobs which involve changing the light fittings because they no longer fit with the aesthetic and re-affixing the wall art.
