Aromatherapy Associates Amazing Oils

It is very rare that I get a cold, or any illness come to think of it, but when I do, I get the worst kind possible. I was very kindly send some Aromatherapy oils to try and test at home from the Revive Evening** and Breathe Support** ranges to see if they would help.

The first thing that struck me was how cute and dinky the packages are, not too mention great colours which are definitely eye-catching.

The Breathe Support range I have come in the form of a bath and shower oil and a breathe essence, designed to reduce stuffiness and congestion and ease your breathing. Two of the things I needed the most with particular cold because I was bunged up, had a headache, couldn't breathe out of nose and was very miserable and feeling sorry for myself.

Aromatherapy Associations described Breathe Support as being

"A refreshing, antibacterial inhalation essence. Eucalyptus, peppermint and tea-tree lend their soothing properties to maintain clear breathing"

With the Breathe Essence, you are advised to either sprinkle a few drops of this antimicrobial blend onto a tissue and breathe in deeply or it can be used on the Aromatherapy Associates Home Fragrancer. I don't have the latter, so what I did instead was to sprinkle a few drops onto either side of my pillow and wow, as soon as I removed the lid from the bottle and did the first sprinkling, it took my breath away, more so because I could instantly breathe and with a feeling of relief that I would be able to sleep and not give myself a headache with the constant sniffing, I was one happy lady.  A 10ml bottle has an RRP £18

The Support Breathe Bath and Shower Oil again is amazing. I have used it in both the bath and shower and my preference is the bath, because having added a capful to hot running water, the vapours envelope you and help ease everything from a blocked nose, a tight chest, congested sinuses and general
cold and flu like symptoms.  A 55ml bottle is priced at £44.

The Revive Evening Bath and Shower Oil (there is also a morning version) and it Enhances feelings of self esteem and sociability and Increases confidence. Using the instantly reviving powers of geranium, ylang ylang, patchouli and sandalwood to re-energise you for the evening ahead . For me, if you need something to get you ready for a tough week ahead, this oil is the one you need, as with Breathe Support, you can use it in the bath or in the shower and for me, I prefer to use this in the shower, again the scent mixes with the water vapour and it comes to life and really awakens your senses. Alternatively if you have a big night ahead, you can use it to get yourself geared up and ready to go out partying.

I have to say that I am incredibly impressed with all three products. The Breathe Essence is amazing for anyone who has a cold because it really does help and for me this is now a staple in my medicine cupboard because I have never come across a product that works as well as this one. Both of the Bath and Shower Oils have also won their way into my heart, from relaxing and chilled out to being hyped up and ready to go, you have everything you need in both of these too.

Naked2 Urban Decay Basics Palette

I finally have my hands on an Urbay Decay Naked palette and it is none other than the Naked2 Basics palette.  Having seen that Cohorted were going to have it on offer, I decided that if I was going to try something, a basics palette was a good place to start and I got it for an amazing price!  With an RRP of £22, I managed to get this with a 30% discount making it just £15.40, how amazing is that?

The palette comes with six cool-toned shades. Five mattes and one satin to highlight and they are:

Skimp - pale nude satin
Stark - nude-pink matte
Frisk - warm grey matte
Cover - muted warm-red matte
Primal - muted brown matte
Undone - deep, smoky brown matte

When I first looked at this palette, I was chuffed with the different shades as they are all ones I am likely to use.  The one issue I've had so far with the other palettes is that I'm not totally sure I would make that much use of them, even though I prefer the natural eye look, to something more out there and colourful. What I love about all of the shades in Naked2 Basics Palette is that they all have a rich, buttery feel to them, which makes the application really easy and Skimp, as you can see from the swatch above, has a slight satin finish to it. Now all I need to get my hands on is the double-ended applicator brush to accompany my palette.

I'm not sure that this palette is yet in sale in the UK, I haven't been able to find it that it is, but keep an out on for the next Cohorted announcement to get one, because for the price I paid, it is more than worth it and I have no doubt I am going to be continuously using it.

Are you a fan of the Naked Palettes? do you have a favourite one?
