OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub

One of my favourite hair care discoveries this year has been Ouai, without exception, everything I have tried has been amazing and I didn't think anything could be the Rose Hair and Body Oil (review here) which I absolutely love... until I tried the Ouai Scalp and Body Scrub and literally, this is possibly the best product for my scalp that I have tried.
OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub
If you haven't come across Ouai before, it is the brain child of Jen Atkin the lady who is very much responsible for maintaining the manes of Klan Kardashian, Gigi Hadid and Gwen Stefani to name just a few, a range of products has been developed and if it is good enough for them, well it is good enough for me. With shampoos, conditioners which are sulphate-free, they use a smart keratin to repair and improve hair strength. Even the styling products are designed to nourish hair and bring out its natural beauty.

I have combination hair, so I have greasy roots and dry ends, so whenever I am using any shampoo, conditioner, mask or treatment, I have slowly learnt over the years which ingredients irritate my scalp and which ones do not. When I am stressed or feeling run down, it is at this point my scalp acts up and becomes dry and itchy and I need a product to exfoliate my scalp but not exacerbate the problem and in all honesty, there are seldom few products that I have come across to do just that.

Within the Ouai Scalp and Body Scrub, the use of exfoliating sugar crystals works to give your scalp a real deep clean without irritating or scratching and the sugar crystals are also paired with a probiotic blend to help balance out and defend against harmful bacteria. Alongside which we have the fatty acid-rich coconut oil which works to replenish the skin's natural oils as well as to nourish the scalp, all while conditioning and treating hair. The final ingredient is CBD Oil which works to naturally calm inflamed and irritated skin.
OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub
As this scrub can be used on both the scalp and the body, you only need a small amount. If I am using it before going in the bath, I apply it to damp skin, massage it on in circular motions and then scrub it off once I am in the water, making it perfect for hard to remove skin.  On my hair, I always ensure my hair is damp and then section my hair and apply as directly as I can to my scalp and gently massage in.  You can also add a small amount to your shampoo if you feel your scalp needs a little more attention.

As you might expect, this scrub smells just incredible.  If you have used any of the Ouai products the scent of bergamot, rose, lychee, cedarwood, and white musk are all present alongside the coconut oil, which isn't overpowering and if Jen could make this scent into a candle, it would be amazing!

Priced at £32 you can find this scrub and the rest of the Ouai collection here.

Lee Stafford Hairbrushes

The last time I used a Lee Stafford product was when I had an obsession with using Poker Straight whilst straightening my hair with my GHDs.  Lee Stafford is an award winning hairdresser who has quite an impressive CV and a career to show how amazing he is.  Not only does he have an incredible passion for hairstyling, he is also one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Today I have some of the new Lee Stafford Hair Brushes to share with you and I have been using them over the past few weeks to see whether or not they are any good before giving my verdict.  I am quite picky when it comes to using a hair brush and I have a list of things that I like and things that I absolutely hate.
Lee Stafford HairBrushes
Firstly, these hair brushes are bright pink and anything pink is going to grab my attention, in fact they are so bright that you won't miss them on the shelves in Boots!  Within my bright pink Lee Stafford box, I actually have 5 hair tools and each one of them has a role and they can be used together to create that perfect hair do!

The Big n Bouncy is described as being the brush which is perfect for creating Bigger, Fatter, Fuller Hair! It has ceramic technology and a heat retaining barrel which gives you instantly plumper, fuller and glossier locks!

Lee Stafford HairBrushes
Lee Stafford HairBrushes
It also has a soft grip handle and the bristles are really flexible which means working with the brush and keeping hold of it is really easy when styling.  I like that the bristles don't scratch my scalp when I use it and it is great to use when blow drying your hair too.  This brush retails for £11.99.

Comb It Out is one of two combs within the collection and having thought I would never use one, I probably use this more than I thought I would.
Lee Stafford HairBrushes
Lee Stafford HairBrushes
Designed for teasing out your curls, it uses ceramic technology to help fight frizz, so if you have just curled your hair and want to brush them out slightly, this comb is perfect for doing just that. I also use this comb whenever I apply a hair mask because it glides through my hair without snagging or pulling and the grove at the top makes it easy to hold on to. Priced at £5.99 it is an absolute bargain.

Tangle Terminator is the brush which made me cackle and something I really could have done with when I was much younger than I am now, because my hair was always a mass of knots.  Nowadays, my hair is much easier to handle and though I do get the occasional tangle, I have never had to sit and spend hours brushing or combing them out of my hair with a grimace on my face.
Lee Stafford HairBrushes

Described as being the brush to give your hair some TLC, Lee Stafford champions this as being his favourite brush.  It uses patented swinging plates that move with your hair and in doing so it glides easily into action, detangling knots and leaving hair beautifully smooth without the damage.  If anyone has knotty hair, this is definitely the brush for you and it costs just £12.99.

The Back Comber is the one I use the least because I don't tend to ever backbomb my hair. It is described as being the comb which will give you va va volume and lift.
Lee Stafford HairBrushes

For me, I use this when sectioning my hair to straighten it, it has a lovely long pointed handle which is perfect for sectioning and then the comb itself, I use to brush through my hair before I glide the GHDs through and it works better than using a brush, I also end up with less static too.  Priced at £5.49.

The Baby Paddle is one of those great all rounder brushes which does a bit of everything and does it well. Small enough to fit into your hand bag or hand luggage this brush is designed to soften and smooth hair and like the other brushes, its ceramic technology helps combats frizz any time anywhere!
Lee Stafford HairBrushes

The soft grip handle makes the brush easy to hold and use and allows you to grip onto it tightly when brushes your hair.  This brush is priced at £9.99.

Alongside these five brushes that I have shared with you today, there are more within the range and they include:
  • The Daddy Paddle Brush
  • The Big Shower Comb
  • The Big Smoothing Brush
I have to admit, I am really impressed with these brushes and have said why for each one. I have given them a thorough testing and in my opinion you can never have too many good hairbrushes.  I know when I clean mine (yes I do this regularly) I always need to ensure I have a spare brush to hand.

Have you ever tried anything from the Lee Stafford range and is there anything you would recommend that I need to try?

Stemm Haircare | A Deciem Brand

Stemm is part of the Deciem family and it was a brand I really did not like when I started to use it. You see my hair is used to SLS, Silicone and all things it shouldn't like, a bit like me with Chocolate or Banoffee Pie - especially Banoffee Pie!  But, I didn't give up, I perservered with a shampoo and conditioner from Stemm and some 6 weeks later, I am kind of glad I did.
Stemm Haircare | A Deciem Brand
Stemm is described as follows:
STEMM is a range of daily care and treatments to support the health of follicles, scalp and, in turn, hair. Traditional haircare focuses on the only part of hair that is not living, the hair fibre itself. Stemm recognizes that the beauty of hair, its visible thickness, density and fullness, begins at the root and the range focuses on supporting hair health from the root up, while concurrently its formulations respect the integrity of the hair fibre itself and protect it from environmental, cleaning, over-conditioning, colouring and styling damage.
Also describing itself as skincare for the hair, Stemm uses a combination of traditional nutrients such as black fulvic acid, burdock root, clove and a comprehensive array of amino acids and minerals with highly-advanced forms of high-strength caffeine, creatine, high-stability sulphur and plant peptide isolates, Stemm creates an optimal environment for hair health, from follicle to fibre.

The High Amino Shampoo my hair hated for a good few weeks and I almost gave up using it. Instead of having tangfle free, clean feeling locks, I instead got hair that felt lank and greasy and whilst I didn't find myself washing it anymore frequently than I had before, it just felt awful and I don't usually have knotty hair.
Stemm Haircare | A Deciem Brand
Described as being an effective shampoo concentrate to promote visible hair density for thicker-looking hair, with gentle cleaning technologies that respect hair fibre. I did find that there was no lather at all with this shampoo and naturally the lather is something I am used too.  As this is concentrated, I also didn't need to use as much as I usually would, instead I mixed it with warm water to make it cover my entire head of hair.  We all know that some shampoos use a lot of ingredients that can strip the hait of healthy natural oils and Stemm want to put a stop to that with this formula.  Using a combination of Amino Acids, Burdock Root and Coffee-Derived Caffeine, which thoroughly clean hair whilst delivering essential moisture and mild conditioning.

I stuck with using this shampoo for a good few weeks before deciding whether or not to continue with using it. Once my hair did get used to it, the change was incredible. My suddenly knotty hair was now soft and smooth, but without feeling like there was a film on it. My scalp, which doesn't usually deal with change too well, never once flared up whilst using this shampoo, which is a tell-tale sign it is a good one.  Now I have finished the shampoo and am glad I stuck with it, because since finishing it, ive not gone back to a shampoo which has SLS, I have instead repurchased this.

Gold Fluvic Conditioner (for blonde hair) is described as being a rinse-off treatment that promotes thicker-looking hair whilst specifically targeting damaged parts of hair to avoid the apparent loss of density associated with the build-up that occurs with traditional conditioning agents. Traditional conditioners almost always cause an immediate thinning of hair fibre and also result in buildup of conditioning agents over time. This formula combines a targeted conditioning system that does not coat the entire hair and focuses only on damaged areas that require support, while supplementing hair and scalp with nutrients to help hair look its healthiest, densest and fullest now and with continued use.
Stemm Haircare | A Deciem Brand

Oddly I had no problem with using this conditioner from start to finish.  As a rule, I don't tend to use a conditoner after every shampoo and instead limit it to once or twice a week depending on how my hair is at that time.  As with any conditoner, this one is best used with attention being paid to the scalp and the roots and it is formulated with a potent blend of reparative Amino Acids, Biotin & Gold Fulvic Acid alongside 2% Caffeine, bringing these ingredients together stimulates the hair follicles aiding in thicker, more dense hair.

I had fully expected to be writing a review saying I had found the first Deciem product I disliked, but infact I should have had more patience to begin with because I absolutely did love using it after those first few weeks.

You can find out more about Stemm and the rest of the brands under the Deciem Umbrella right HERE.

Ten secrets for keeping your hair shiny and healthy

Ten secrets for keeping your hair shiny and healthy

Most women dream of thick, shiny, and healthy hair. After all, it’s an important attribute of female beauty. Our simple tips will help you strengthen hair and keep it healthy.

1) Try to avoid strict diets - If you want to have hair like those beauties from Russian online dating websites, avoid diets that lead to a sharp weight loss, as your body may lose zinc, biotin, and proteins. The lack of all these nutrients will make your hair not only brittle but also rare.
2) Take a shower before going to swimming pool - Always wash your hair before going to swimming pool. If your hair is already saturated with water, it will absorb much less chlorinated liquid from the pool.
3) Buy shampoos suitable for your hair type - You can buy the most expensive shampoo, but this doesn’t mean that it will be perfect you. When buying shampoo, it's more important not to look at its price tag, but to check if it suits your hair type. Its cost is not a sign of quality. Studies have shown that conventional shampoos deal with hair problems no worse than expensive ones, and sometimes even better.
4) Wash your head in lukewarm water - Hot water can wash off a large amount of sebum. This protective fat acts as a natural conditioner and gives your hair shine. Also, don’t forget to massage your head while you wash it.
5) Protect your hair from the sun - Your hair gets nothing good from sunlight. The sun dries it, especially if it’s painted. If you still have to spend some time in the sun each day, use a conditioner or wear a hat.
6) Don’t use oil to get rid of dandruff - It is mistakenly believed that the cause of dandruff is a dry head, but in fact, it’s completely wrong. It’s all about an inflammatory process that must be treated with special medications. Rubbing any oil in your hair can make things even worse. Buy a medical dandruff shampoo. Just be sure to wash your hair well after using it.
7) Use conditioners that contain protein - Frequent hair styling, dyeing, and curling deform the protective outer layer of hair. As a result, you get split ends. Fortunately, today there are a lot of ways to avoid it. Buy air conditioners that contain protein and use them constantly. They are pretty good at preventing split ends.
8) Comb your hair less often - Combing the hair too often leads to excessive hair loss. The very process of hair loss is quite normal, so you shouldn’t be afraid of it. On average, a healthy person loses from 50 to 100 hairs a day. Most of it falls out because it has stopped growing and passed into the resting phase. To minimize hair loss, use combs with ball ends and try not to comb wet hair.
9) Avoid haircuts that damage hair - Braiding the hair can damage it as well as its follicles. Dermatologists advise wearing braids for no more than three months. Besides, wet hair is more brittle. Therefore, never braid wet hair.
10) Body health is the basis for beauty of your hair - It’s important to understand that the use of medical and cosmetic products for hair is only superficial. Often the poor condition of the hair is associated with health problems, for example, due to persistent stress, metabolic disorders, mental overloads, or various hormonal dysfunctions. Therefore, the beauty of your hair is based on body health.

Mane 'n Tail Hair Care + Win a Bundle for youself competition

The Mane 'n Tail hair care range created something of a buzz last year and it is not hard to understand why. Originally developed for horses, their owners reported seeing significant improvement in the health and appearance of not just their horses’ manes and tails but also on their own hair having used the products on themselves. So as the buzz was created, Mane 'n Tail was born.
Mane 'n Tail Hair Care + Win a Bundle for youself competition
Described as being the horse to human crossover shampoo for fuller, stronger, longer, healthier hair the exclusive micro-enriched protein formula creates a gentle rich fragrant lather that provides down to the scalp cleansing action without stripping natural oils leaving it soft, shiny and manageable. Not only is it safe for all hair types and chemically treated hair, but you can also use it on your dog and cat too!

Within the product range you will find Shampoo, Conditioner, leave-in conditioners, styling pomades, All-in-one products and Hand and Nail Therapy bringing in more than 25 products which is quite exhaustive and has something for every hair complaint.

I have been using some products from the Mane 'n Tail range for the past few weeks and it is easy to get what all the excitement is about. The Shampoo and Conditioner work so well with my hair which, depending on the time of the month can be dry, greasy or a bit of both. I have to watch my scalp because it can become sensitive if products are too strong, so I do where possible try to avoid the silicone based products because I can be left itching my scalp as though I have lice. The Mane 'n Tail Gentle Clarifying Shampoo is a revitalising formula dedicated to cleansing and moisturising from root to tip. Since I started to use these products, what I have noticed that you need just the smallest amount for it to work and by small, I mean no bigger than that 50p and it lathers really well, washes out really well and the feeling afterwards is soft, smooth shiny locks. I don't condition my hair every time I wash it, I do that every other wash and I have started to alternative been the Mane 'n Tail Gentle Replenishing Conditioner; which is a deeply nourishing formula that targets breakage and split ends to reveal repaired, healthy-looking hair and their Hair Strengthening Leave-in-Conditioner, so I am looking forward to seeing the results of those.

Alongside the hair care products I have been using Hoofmaker which is the Mane 'n Tail Hand and Nail Therapy. It is no secret that I adore hand cream and go through tubes of the stuff, so I have, for the time being switched to this to see how it fares. It is described as being a fast-absorbing, non-greasy, moisturising, protein-enriched formula which targets cracked, dry skin not just on the hands but also on the feet and body. Perfect for softening rough, callused areas, you can expect smooth, comfortable and rejuvenated skin all over the body. When it comes to using the cream, it does feel slightly different to other hand creams that I have used but it does, as described, it sinks in and disappears on contact, it leaves no greasy tacky residue behind and it does leave your hands, feet and I have used it on my legs - soft, smooth and really moisturised. I've suffered no irritations, my skin isn't dry and I just really really like the cream.

If this has been a brand on your wishlist, one you are intrigued to try having read my review then I have a competition with you giving you the chance to win one of each of those products I have mentioned above - Gentle Clarifying Shampoo, Gentle Clarifying Conditioner, Hair Strengthener Daily Leave-in-Conditioner and the Hoofmaker Hand and Nail Therapy

If you cannot wait for this competition to end and want to get your hands on some products then you will find Mane 'n Tail products in Boots, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, Fenwicks, Bentalls and the main Urban Outfitters on Oxford Street.

Lush: Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar

I absolutely love a Lush Shampoo Bar and they are brilliant for taking on holiday with you. Honey I Washed My Hair is one of those Shampoo Bars that I have repurchased more than once I love it that much and when it comes with a description like this, how could you not love it:

Deliciously toffee-scented, this syrupy sweet bar will make your hair turn heads (and noses). Honey is renowned for adding softness and shine to locks. To top it all off uplifting sweet wild orange and bergamot oils create an aroma that transports your troubles away.
Lush: Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar
Lush: Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar
Fan's of Honey I Washed The Kids Soap will no doubt love this as much as I do. In a shampoo bar form, it has a beautiful toffee scent which I actually adore and with ingredients such as Fairly Traded Honey, Honeycomb, Sweet Wild Orange Oil and Bergamot Oil, this sounds like something to eat not wash your hair with.

If you have never ever used a shampoo bar from Lush before, get yourself one pronto, it is an experience everyone needs to try, using it is as simple as it gets. Like a bar of soap, you simply rub it between your hands, whch need to be wet, and as it begins to foam, apply it to your hair as you would a liquid shampoo. You can also rub the shampoo bar directly onto your hair and scalp, though I find this much more difficult to do and I end up dropping it. Once on your hair, again massage it onto your scalp and into your hair and then rinse out. As you massage it onto your hair and scalp, that delicious toffee aroma becomes more pungent and my hair always smells incredible.

Each Lush Shampoo Bar has been created for different hair types and for different purposes, infact there is quite possibly something for every hair type and issue that you want help with. This one is designed for dried out and rough hair textures which need a little but of love and care. With the ingredient of honey being present to moisturise and soften your hair, I find that my static ridden flyaways become much more calm and there is a lot less frizz and the hair which feels dry and a little bit coarse, particuarly towards the ends of my hair, now feel soft and smooth.

The one other purchase I would recommend from Lush is there Round Tin which is perfect for storing your Shampoo Bar.  You do need to allow your shampoo bar to dry out competely before dropping into the tin, which is air tight once sealed, otherwise your shampoo bar will go mouldy!  The tin also makes travelling a delight too, Priced at £5.95 this shampoo bar lasts a good few months and is worth every penny.

Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML

Like most people, I dream of having hair which is the total opposite to what they have, in my case, this is minimal fuss, easy to style and is poker straight when I want to be, rather than naturally wavy and will be styled straight if it feels like it.
Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML

The Simple Straight Hair Brush by JML and is described as being the amazing new straightening brush which is going to revolutionise the way you style your hair! Quite a bold claim if ever there was one in an age where straightening irons take on new technology and offer to have your hair looking as though you just stepped out of the salon.  Again, Simply Straight is promising to give you perfectly straight hair in minutes for the stylish look of a salon quality blow dry and all in the comfort of your own home.

The ceramic brush is designed to look like a hair brush, it is easy to hold and run through your hair and isn't as heavy as I had expected to find, infact it is about as weighty as my GHDs.  Once plugged into the main and switched on, it takes just 30 seconds to hit heat up and you have a choice of temperatures from 50 degrees right up to 185 degrees which is displayed on an LCD screen and it is suitable for all hair types. At any time you can increase or decrease the heat temperature.

Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML
Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML
As mentioned, my hair is naturally wavy, so whenever I do want my hair straight, I opt for straighteners and have always found them easy to use.  The Simply Straight brush is much easier. Firstly, you should only ever use the brush on dry hair, never wet and I find that I don't need to section my hair as much to use it.  As the brush heats up, I section my hair into 4 or 5 different bits and then slowly brush through my hair as I would do with my hair brush.  One thing that I like about this brush is that you don't feel the heat on your hands or near your head, unlike other appliances where 9 times out of 10 I will burn some part of my head.  It has a bit of weight in the brush but it isn't too heavy that you get arm ache part way through styling your hair and because the bristles are different lengths, to ensure each hair strand is touched, they don't feel hot against your head and if you have ever dropped a straightening iron and caught it (ouch) dropping this to catch it does not burn your hand, though please do not try it to prove a point.

Using the brush I have found that brushing through my hair twice is enough to leave it straight, then one final brush through before switching everything off, however if you are a bit forgetful, then it does turn itself off after 30 minutes.

For a product which costs just £39.99 I admit I was totally skeptical as were a lot of my friends, but having seen it in action at an event with JML (which I snapchatted) and having used it myself, I am actually blown away at how good it is.  Like most items it does take a bit of time to give it a try and get used to using it, but I absolutely love it and use it all of the time!  Once my hair is straightened then I can leave my hair for the rest of the day, only needing to brush through the following morning for those pesky little flyaways who curl themselves!  If you are still not convinced, then I have a before and after shot below, the only product used on my hair was heat defense spray from Toni & Guy.
Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML
Simply Straight Hair Brush by JML
As you can see, my hair has gone from a wavy dragged through the hedge backwards look to a much more sleek and straight style but with movement rather than being poker straight and stuck to my head.

What I like about this Simply Straight Brush is that I haven't burnt myself with it, I find it easy to handle, it is easy to use, it heats up quickly and it does the job it is designed for with no stress, no faff, no hassle and I love how quick it is.
. Available for just £39.99 and it comes with a Free Heat Mat and Travel Case

PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde

When you have blonde hair, keeping it in good condition is paramount, it can quickly look boring, dull and lifeless. I have naturally dark blonde hair which I have highlighted a few times a year and when I was introduced to Pro:Voke Liquid Blonde Range, I couldn't wait to give it a try.

PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde
PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde is an expertly created range specifically designed for highlighted, sun-kissed and warm blonde hair. The range tones and enhances blonde shades using Golden Blonde Pigments to refresh colour, whilst also nourishing and adding intense gloss and shine.

With four products in the range - Shampoo, Conditioner,  Colour Activating Treatment Shampoo and Intense Shine Conditioner.  I am usually nervous when it comes to using colour care products because I don't want to over do it and end up orange or green but equally I don't want my colour to fade too quickly, despite my love of sitting for hours in a salon chair and any excuse to visit new places.
PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde
PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde Colour Care Shampoo is a really gentle cleansing shampoo which helps to protect against environmental pollution to safeguard your colour, making it perfect for multitoned, highlighted hair. Using light-reflecting particles and Tamanu Oil this shampoo is great for hair which feels dry and dehydrated but is lightweight as to not weigh the hair down.

PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde Colour Care Conditioner has quite a creamy formula and you only need a small amount.  I am one of those people who doesn't use a conditioner everytime I shampoo because I have combination hair (Greasy Roots and Dry Ends) but I do like this conditioner. Designed to help repair damaged hair by infusing extra moisture for an improved smooth and silky texture. As with the shampoo, it has light-reflecting particles and Tamanu Oil which instantly boosts shine and keeps hair colour rich. By helping to protect from environmental damage and preventing colour from dulling, this conditioner brings out and brightens a range of blonde tones and highlights.
PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde
PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde Colour Activating Treatment Shampoo - This shampoo contains Golden Blonde Pigments to instantly boost multi-toned, highlighted blonde shades. It also works to instantly enhance the warmth and depth of blonde hair which further help to prolong salon visits and keep hair colour fresh, with visible results after just one wash.  What I found with this shampoo is that I only needed to use it once a week, similar to how I use any other hair treatment, so swapping to this shampoo from the other to give my hair a boost.  The formula is slightly thicker but is really easy to wash out.

PRO:VOKE® Liquid Blonde Intense Shine Conditioner - Again I swap this once a week with the conditioner above and it is designed to give a high gloss finish in just one treatment, enhancing the lustre and depth of multi-tonal blonde hair. Containing Tamanu Oil, known for repairing and improving shine.  Again, this conditioner is slightly thicker in texture than the other option and it has a really dark colour to it, but where it differs hugely for me, is how my hair feels after using it - instantly soft, nourished and moisturised, almost salon shiny and an absolute delight to style.

Having used these products for the last few months, I have found that my colour has lasted a lot longer than it would usually do, the roots haven't come through as quick and whilst now I can see the highlights have faded and need a touch up, I am really impressed they have lasted this long, especially as my hair has been highlighted 3 weeks before I got these products.

Now for the best part!  With starting prices from £3.99 you can find them in places such as Boots, which often means a 3 for 2 option and if I am honest, they are more than worth their price.

COLOR WOW HAIR COCKTAILS

Last week I went along to the fabulous John Frieda Salon in the west end for an introduction to the latest product releases from Colour Wow, these products are so popular, as soon as they are in stock, they are just as quickly out of stock, so if you see them - grab them!
COLOR WOW HAIR COCKTAILS
Colour Wow Cocktails for your hair are described as being bond building leave in supplements and they work to give that little bit extra to your locks.  Having spent a lot of money getting the colour you want, you need to look after it, obviously and if you have colour treated hair then you need these hair cocktails and there are three to choose from.

Color Wow Coconut Cocktail - Bonds a new lubricating layer to hair’s surface, restoring silkiness and mobility and it smells just absolutely incredible, definitely good enough to drink!
COLOR WOW HAIR COCKTAILS
Color processing strips away the natural, outer “lubricating film” that keeps your hair moist, mobile and manageable. This super-powered, leave-in “bionic tonic” bonds to hair’s surface, mimicking the lost lubricating layer with a precision blend of fatty acids and emollients. Deep penetrating Coconut Oil hydrates deep within the cortex, improving strength and flexibility. Instantly transforms dry, unresponsive, dehydrated hair into fluidly-silky, supple strands.  This is my favourite cocktail of the three and it leves my hair feeling just incredible soft, smooth and hydrated.

Color Wow Kale Cocktail - Color processing breaks down hair’s natural, internal cysteine bonds which give each strand strength and resilience. This mega-force “bionic tonic” with sulphur-rich sea kale helps relink and reinforce hair’s vital internal bonds.

COLOR WOW HAIR COCKTAILS
Loaded with protein-building Amino Acids plus B Vitamins, this strand- strengthening super-power smoothes, detangles and has been clinically proven to reduce breakage by over 50% after one single application. Helps guard hair against UV ray damage.

Color Wow Carb Cocktail - Bionic Tonic which bonds a high-carb complex to hair’s surface, fattening fine, limp strands and giving hair style-holding “starch”. Again, color processing makes hair porous and causes loss of natural protein mass.
COLOR WOW HAIR COCKTAILS
This super-powered, leave-in “bionic tonic” bonds to hair’s surface, adding a precision blend of corn starch, cellulose and oat bran to thicken strand girth and expand hair mass. Quinoa and keratin protein fortify and deliver visibly heftier, healthier-looking hair with a smooth, glossy surface. Like starch-based “sizing” (used when ironing clothing to add substance to flimsy, limp fabrics), Carb Cocktail is activated and amplified when hair is heat-styled. The result is exceptionally full body and style-holding stamina, without stiffness or stickiness.

What I love about these Colour Wow Cocktails is not only can they be used individually but you can also combine them.  So you can use Coconut with Kale, Kale with either Coconut or Carb and Carb with Kale should you feel your hair needs it.

To use them is also so simple. Ensure your hair is towel dried and then you need to lightly shake the bottle before opening and then pour a 10p sized blob into the palm of your hand, rub your palms together and then smooth throughout your hair, much as you would do serum and/or leave in conditioners. Ensure you have run it as equally as you can throughout your hair, comb it through and leave to dry, do not rinse out. What I have found after using them, whether alone or together is how amazing super soft and manageable my hair is, not a knot in sight, not a hint of frizz and so easy to style, I no longer feel as though I am dragging my straighteners over my hair and it is in full blown protest. Now all I need are more highlights so I can keep on using them!

T3 PINK COMPACT TRAVEL HAIRDRYER

Whenever I travel anywhere - overnight, long weekend, week away or go away for even longer, there are two items I always have with me - Hair Straighteners and Hairdryer and until now I only had a full sized hairdryer which weighs a tonne and takes up far too much room, but lets face it, those offered in hotel rooms are A) awful, B) crap and C) I could blow my own hair dry much quicker and travel hairdryers are just as useless, until now!

I went to the launch party for the new T3 Featherweight Pink Compact Hairdryer, Now first of all it is not only pink, it is baby pink and oh gosh it is so super light to handle that it is much easier for travelling or chucking in your gym bag! As you can see in my photos above, there's a hinge at the top of the handle that allows it to fold in on itself, it makes it so much easier to pack away and is perfect for folding up into my little suitcase.

So why is it so amazing? Well, apart from being pink and travel friendly, it actually dries my hair in half the time my current Babyliss hairdryer takes. Using what is called T3 Tourmaline® SoftAire™ it uses a specially engineered fan which generates a high volume of ion-enriched air. That air exits the dryer in a wide cone shape at a soft, gentle speed that allows you to dry large sections of hair - fast. Negative ions in the airflow cancel static and quickly seal the cuticle, which helps hair retain natural moisture, reduces frizz and enhances shine.  So instead of my hair taking 20-25 minutes to dry, using this it takes between 12-17 minutes, which is insanely impressive.

The T3 Featherweight dryer features 2 Speeds/Heat Settings which are designed to work perfectly with all hair types and textures and there is also what is called a 'Cool Shot' which helps lock in any style for a smooth, sleek finish.  Whenever I dry my hair, I start off on the highest setting and then move to the cool shot once I am happy my hair is dry.  Admittedly, I don't dry my hair everytime I wash it, I do like to leave it to dry as often as I can. Once my hair is dry, there is a notable difference in the lack of static within my hair and whilst I have naturally wavy hair, my hair is much sleeker to the touch, so using my hair straighteners is an absolute breeze and the style holds for much longer, seemingly because I am using less products to reduce frizz and static.

It naturally comes with a 2 year warranty and has switchable Dual Voltage so it is even easier for travelling internationally (though you will still need the adapter), a 2.7 metre cord.  As someone who spends a lot of money on haircare, I think it is only right to also have the right tools to keep it in the best condition possible and for £125, I think this hairdryer is a worthy investment.
