With its incredible clean scent, this shower gel releases a crisp, citrus scent thanks to the inclusion of Essential oils from verbena, orange, geranium and lemon tree. On the skin, this shower gel is lovely and soothing and not only fragrances the skin, but your entire bathroom!
For the 8th Door of this advent calendar we have a 25g Shea Milk Extra Gentle Soap - something that is always handy to have!
This is one of the most gentlest soaps I have ever used and one that smells just divine. It is as rich as it is smooth and so moisturising on the skin. Given its size, it is also so handy to travel with and trust me, even with the pandemic, the number of places still without soap is worrying!
Behind door 9 we have the 35ml Almond Conditioner and if you thought the shampoo smelt amazing then this is even better!
This conditioner is enriched, just like the shampoo, with Almond oil to soften and detangle the hair whilst at the same time, leaving it delicately fragranced with a subtle, mouth-watering scent of fresh almonds.
For the 10th door we have a 5ml Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream.
This cream is enriched with hydrating hyaluronic acid and calcium rich Réotier water which is known for its properties to help skin maintain its hydration barrier and retain moisture, this lightweight melting fresh cream hydrates the skin while at the same comforting it, so if your skin is unhappy and acting up, this is definitely a dream to try.
For Day 11 we have 10ml Almond Delicious Hands.
My favourite hand cream from L'Occitane and of course being from the Almond Range. It smells just absolutely incredible and it leaves my hands feeling moisturised and nourished without being greasy and of course I love that the scent lingers for absolute ages on the skin.
Behind door 12 we have 25g Verbena Leaf Soap which is just delightful.
As with the Body Lotion, this soap is delightfully zingy and creates a beautifully scented lather which lingers on your skin. It isn’t drying and is wonderfully soothing and again, handy to have in times of need.
For Day 13 we have a 10ml Shea Butter Foot Cream which we are all going to need for these cold months with our feet hidden in thick socks and chunky boots!
As with the hand cream, this foot cream is an amazing treatment for the feet, it’s thick and luxurious and if my feet need a little extra TLC, I slather it on, put some socks and allow the cream to work its magic.
Behind the door for Day 14 is a 35ml Repairing Shampoo which is perfect for hair which is dry, brittle and damaged.
Designed to help revitalise, strengthen and protect the hair from heat styling and chemical damage, this shampoo has a gentle silicone-free formula which combines oat amino acid, to repair, restructure and improve hair fibre condition and a patented anti-breakage complex of five essential oils (angelica, ylang-ylang, sweet orange, lavender and geranium) with provitamin B5, and sunflower oil, to protect and give softness and suppleness to the hair.
For Day 15 we have a 5ml Shea Light Comforting Cream and if your skin is in need of TLC, this is worth looking at!
This Cream is formulated with 5% shea butter it is described as being the answer to the essential needs of normal to combination skin, including sensitive skin types. It is really lightweight in texture, not at all heavy and even though it is called a cream, it is definitely more of a lotion.
Back to hand creams for Day 16 with a 10ml Rose Hand Cream.
As with other L’Occitane hand creams, this one is also enriched with nourishing shea butter and on the hands, this cream is so light it melts on contact to moisturise and protect your skin and leaves them delicately perfumed with the green and floral notes of the Rosa Centifolia from Provence.
For Day 17 we are back with the Verbena Range but this time it is a 35ml Citrus Verbena Shower Gel.
This Shower Gel is designed to gently cleanse the skin while at the same time it leaves the most lovely scent of sparkling and fruity notes of lemon, grapefruit and verbena. One of those products which wakes you up in a motioning when you feel sluggish
For Day 18 we find a 2ml Shea Ultra Rich Lip Balm and this couldn’t come at a better time!
As far as I’m concerned, you can never have too many Lip Balms and this one is formulated with 10% Shea Butter and moisturises as much as it does nourish and is perfect for these colder days that are creeping in.
For Day 19 we find the 35ml Repairing Conditioner which works with the Shampoo of the same family, hidden behind door 14.
As with the shampoo, this conditioner is a gentle silicone-free formula which combines oat amino acid, to repair, restructure and improve hair fibre condition, and there is a patented anti-breakage complex of five essential oils (angelica, ylang-ylang, sweet orange, lavender and geranium) alongside w provitamin B5, and sunflower oil, to protect and give softness and suppleness to the hair.
Hiding behind Day 20 we have a 5ml Overnight Reset Serum and if your skin needs a loving hug, this is absolutely the product you need, it’s just divine.
Described as being extraordinary, this night serum is designed to leave your with skin looking rested, fresh, more youthful and radiant. It suits all skin types, and smells just absolutely divine.
For Day 21 we have a 10ml Shea Intensive Hand Balm and this is a balm I have used a lot of during lockdown.
Said to be L’Occitane’s most nourishing hand product, this balm is enriched with 25% shea butter to provide intense nourishing care and also with allantoin, a naturally moisturising and regenerative ingredient, this ultra-rich balm absorbs into the hands when applied and massaged in. Ideal for use daily as a hand cream, or you can use it twice-weekly as an intensive hand mask by applying a thick layer to hands and leaving for 10 minutes before massaging excess into the skin.
For Day 22 we have a 35ml Citrus Verbena Body Milk and it is a product I haven’t yet tried!
Said to be formulated with organic Verbena extract and grape seed oil, this body lotion not only moisturises and nourishes but it also softens the skin, leaving it delicately fragranced with a uplifting zesty aroma. I am sure it is even more delightful when paired with the shower gel and the body lotion!
The penultimate day and behind Door 23 we have another hand cream and this time it is a 10ml Shea Honey Hand Cream.
This is a hand cream from L’Occitane which smells just delightful. Enriched and formulated with 20% shea butter, this hand cream not only helps to nourish your hands but to also protect and soften them. The cream also has a very light honey scent which fragrances your hands and it is stunning as a scent.
The final day of the L’Occitane Classic Advent Calendar is Day 24 and hiding behind it is a 75ml Shea Butter Hand Cream.
This Shea Butter Hand Cream is enriched with 20% organic Shea Butter and it is slightly different to other hand creams from L’Occitane because this one is more like a really creamy balm. It’s fairly thick but absorbs quickly into the skin and it’s job is to protect, nourish and moisturise your hands. It also includes Honey, almond extracts and coconut oil which are blended with the Shea Butter to create this extremely moisturising cream and finally there is also an infusion of both jasmine and ylang-ylang to lightly scent your hands.
So there you have the 2021 Classic Advent Calendar from L’Occitane and once agai L’Occitane decided to replace the plastic interior of its advent calendars and in its place use cardboard which had been sourced from sustainable forestry, preventing the use of 22.5 tonnes of plastic at Christmas!
