Monpure Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask

Monpure is a haircare brand that I have really been enjoying using, having previously shared the Clarifying Scalp Scrum and the Hydrate and Soothe Serum, today is the turn of the Monpure Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask.
Monpure Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask
Monpure as a brand, is one of the few who has put a lot of thought into their hair care brand, with particular attention being paid to the scalp.  For me, scalp care is as importance as skincare and over the past few years, I have been on quite a journey to get to know why my scalp flares up and kicks off in the way that does.  Stress is the ultimate factor though living in a hard water area and some of the products I had assumed worked for my hair, did, but they didn't for my scalp and quickly a problem would arise with an itch, followed by more itching and then within days a sore scalp that was really unhappy.
If your scalp is feeling particularly under the weather, our Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask is the ultimate scalp care SOS weekly treatment that should be adorning every bathroom shelf. Simply massage this fluffy cloud-light formula through your roots, onto your scalp and any stress and discomfort should be a thing of the past (you should start to feel it tingle – that’s the best bit).
So alongside the scrub and the serum, I have been using the Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask and its job is to work to improve scalp health by ‘feeding’ hair follicles and skin cells with essential vitamins and nutrients, by doing so, it creates the optimum environment for hair growth. As you can see, with this product, not only does it work to improve scalp health so hair can grow stronger, better and healthier with regular use, but more important for me, it also soothes, hydrates and relieves sun damage with aloe vera and vitamin-rich camellia tea oil.

There is two ways of using this mask, depending on what you feel both your hair and scalp need. Firstly there is the option to use it as a deep treatment which means the mask needs to be left on the scalp for 15 minutes at least, so ideal for application before you venture into the shower to rinse it out.  Or, you can use it whilst in the shower, after shampooing and then massage the mask into the scalp and let it work for 10 minutes before washing it out.  I have tried both options but prefer to get as much time usage out of this mask as possible and will often apply it after shampooing but then having got out of the shower and completed the rest of my routine, will then rinse it out, ensuring I get the full 15 minutes of use.

Ingredients within this mask are chosen for specific reasons and what I love is that it is cruelty-free and vegan but there is also no silicone used - for me, some hair care with silicone irritate my scalp.
  • Aloe Vera - Used for its soothing properties on the skin, it is packed full of polysaccharides which are are known for their hydrating and anti-inflammatory powers and within this mask, it is perfect for helping to calm and soothe issues such as irritation, itching and dryness.
  • Camellia Tea Oil - Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, as well as those essential fatty acids, it delivers an intense hit of nourishment to neglected scalps and works to stimulate hair follicles and enhance healthy hair growth, while leaving it conditioned.
  • Silk Peptides - Silkgel is described as being a pioneering new vegan alternative to regular silk peptides, providing a “second skin” effect to the scalp and hair follicles. Produced via a process of fermenting plant starch, it’s been clinically proven to not only repair fragile or damaged hair strands, but will also protect the hair and scalp from harmful pollutants as well as bacterial adhesion.
So, I have been using this mask as directed for over 3 months now at least once, sometimes twice a week and can say that irritation has been reduced as well as the itching and whenever I do begin to itch, I now reach for this mask, not just for the tingle, which is delightful and soothing, but because I feel it does calm irritation.

The Monpure Nourish and Stimulate Scalp Mask is priced at £53 and is just wonderful to use, it works and ticks every box for me and I have since purchased a back-up tub!
