We are finally coming out of the cold and dark months of winter and into springtime. No longer will our faces be covered up with thick woollen hats and scarves. Instead, we will be looking to feel the sun on our skin. It is the time where we crawl from inside our homes and head to salons where we fill out Eyelash Extension Consent Form documents, get our brows dyed, fix our nails and generally aim to look our best and freshest selves. And this is why it is important to improve your skin this spring. No matter if you have dry, oily or combination skin there are always things you do to improve it, particularly as it struggles against the weather changes. Here are the top ways that you can improve your skin this spring…

  1. Have a tailored skincare routine

No two people’s skin is the same and that is why it is so important you have a tailored skincare routines. After all, what works for one of your friends might not necessarily work for you. Figure out exactly what type of skin you have, whether it is dry, oily, or a bit of both and get the products that cater to this. Check out the ingredients and allergens and try to aim for the ones that are the most natural. You will want to try and cleanse, tone and moisturize for the best effect. At a bare minimum ensure that you always clean your makeup off before bed and use a good moisturiser.

  1. Drink more water

While this might feel like an age-old tale, it is vital that you drink more water for your skin to look its best. You want to aim for eight glasses of day. To make it more interesting you could add fruit such as strawberries or lemons to your water to give them a bit of flavour. These fruits are also packed with vitamins and antioxidants that can help give your skin an extra boost. Drinking water helps to keep you hydrated and flush out any toxins from your body - you will soon notice the difference it has on your complexion.

  1. Use an SPF

The last thing you want is for your skin to go wrinkly and patchy due to being overexposed to the sun's harmful rays. To avoid this it is imperative that you use sunscreen with an SPF in it to protect your skin. You can also get moisturizers and foundations that have SPF which will give you further protection, even if you forget to put sunscreen on before you head out. Be sure to check the SPF of your makeup before buying as this is a necessary ingredient, particularly in the spring and summer when the sun is more powerful.

These are just a few ways that you can improve your skin this spring. What are some top tips and rules that you always try to adhere to? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear from you.
