Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

I am a bit of a Lush fanatic and I love the colour pink. How right that person was and I get very excited at Christmas Time when the Lush Limited Edition products come out.

One of my favourite Lush products ever is the Snow Fairy shower gel.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

The shower gel inside the bottle is a bright candy pink colour and once you squeeze a little out onto the palm on your hand you can instantly recognise the sweet candy scent which has to be one of the sweetest things you will ever smell but in a nice way, it isn't overpowering like a vanilla scented product is, instead this shower gel is so sweet it reminds me of candy canes which you hang on your Christmas tree, Also within this shower gel are little pieces of glitter which sparkle in the light and is perfect for Christmas. When using this shower gel you will need to squeeze the bottle quite hard at first to produce a small blob like portion on the palm of your hand and the gel is quite thick in texture so you wont need as much as you would normally.

After my shower my skin was very soft and moisturised and the sweet candy scent was to me really nice and I could still smell it on my skin in the evening, after being at work all day. Also, rather than using it as just a shower gel, I have to admit that I have used it as bubble bath, when I've come home from work and am so tired all I want is a long hot soak and I really cannot be bothered to have a shower, using this shower gel as a bubble bath substitute works really well, lots of bubbles are created and the smell lingers throughout the house much better than when I use it in the shower.

Snow Fairy retails from Lush in three different sizes and naturally three different prices. The bottle I was given was the 100ml bottle which is the standard size within gift packages such as the one I received and that would retail at almost £3.50. There are much bigger bottles which I would buy usually to last me through the year and they come in a 250ml size which would cost £6.85 and a 500ml bottle which would cost £10.95.

As I have said this is one of my absolute favourite Lush products and if you haven't tried it, then get to Lush quick because it is only ever available at Christmas time.

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer

At the London Blogger Secret Santa Meet, we were all given amazing goodie bags and in mine was this fabulous Mr Frosty Bath Creamer from Bomb Cosmetics which you can find HERE.  Now I am a HUGE fan of Bomb Cosmetics and their products are simply amazing and naturally I couldn't wait to chuck this into my bath and enjoy it.

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer

Bomb Cosmetics tell you too "Drop Mr Frosty into a warm bath and watch him melt, softly giving up his Cocoa and Shea butters and Rose essential oils. With a warming, satisfying hot chocolate fragrance for cold winter nights".

Whenever I use something like this, I ensure there is a few inches of water in the bath and then placing the Bath Creamer into the warm water it begins to fizz instantly and run around your bath like someone on a sugar rush.  As it melts into the water it releases the Cocoa Butter and the Shea butter as well as the Rose Essential Oil which you can smell and it is totally divine.  Rose scented products rank highly in my favourite scents, so to use this Bath Creamer is a complete delight.  Once the Bath Creamer stops fizzing, it is time to get into your bath, relax and enjoy.

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer

This Bath Creamer is full of lovely ingredients and I always like to look at what is something before I use it, it fascinated me for years and this particular product includes:

  • Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter - both know for their ability to moisturise the skin
  • Rose Flower Oil - is great for toning the skin and also has moisturising properties
  • Coconut Oil - the goodness within coconut oil and benefits for your skin is literally endless and it is something I always have in my kitchen cupboard and it leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and incredibly moisturised to name but a few.

There are other ingredients included within this Bath Creamer which are listed on the Bomb Cosmetics website.

The water that you immerse yourself into feels really soft on the skin, that is the best way for me to describe it, the Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter are incedibly moisutirsing and I almost felt no need to add anything else to my skin because it is all there in the water. However with this cold weather, my skin is quite dry on my legs, so I did exfoliate, but then rather than use anything else, I used what was in my water and once out of the bath, my skin was soft and smooth to the touch and it smelt totally amazing.

Sometimes in these products there are bits which float about your bath, mainly to add some decoration and fun and the warning always is to rinse them away from the bath after use to avoid and prevent any staining.

All of the products from Bomb Cosmetics are formulated to be free from Parabens, or Paraben based preservatives.

Have you tried anything from Bomb Cosmetics? Do you have a favourite product?

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm for your lips!

Part of my night time skincare routine does involve my lips. Lips for me are an important feature and I like to do as much as I can to ensure they look and feel soft, smooth and supple rather than dry and cracked with bits of skin hanging off all over the place.

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm was a product I had only heard of but had never used, then I got a sample in my Glossybox and I put it to one side for quite a while until I read a few blog posts about how good it was with some people referring to it as their Holy Grail Lip Balm, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try it for myself.

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm for your lips

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm for your lips

According to the website: Dr.Lipp was originally developed as a nipple balm for breastfeeding women because of its ultra hydrating & hypoallergenic multipurpose properties. Dr.Lipp has many benefits both medical and for beauty and is ideal for dry cuticles, dry skin patches, burns and abrasions, severely chapped lips, sore nipples, split ends, eczema, babies’ bottoms, and much much more.

The tube that I have is quite a small one and it contains just a 3ml tube and the product inside is like a thick gel, similar in consistency to Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream (which I dislike a lot) only it is totally without any scent or odour.  I always apply this to my lips every night before I go to bed and you only need a really small amount.  when I used this for the very first time, I was expecting to get that horrible greasy feel that Vaseline leaves on my lips, but instead it felt nothing like that and more natural, as though I had applied a normal lip balm and on my lips was a lovely sheen.

If like me you suffer with dry lips, this product is wonderful, for me it is a miracle worker and I am glad I had the chance to try a smaller version as a full 15ml tube costs £11.95 which although pricey, for me is worth every single penny.

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm for your lips

Dr Lipp Nipple Balm for your lips

Naturally this product does have more than one use and for us Beauty Bloggers it is a multi-purpose products and these are just some of its uses:
  • Use as a long lasting lip-gloss
  • Prep dry skin before applying foundation for a more even look.
  • Cheek shine
  • Eye gloss for a dewy look
  • Shaping eyebrows
  • Lip primer to help prevent blotching
  • As a mixer for pigments
  • Perfect for ‘glitter lips’, ‘eye glitter’ & diamantes
  • Last minute shoe polish!
Alongside used for us Beauty Bloggers there are some other uses and these are:
  • Helps soothe and soften chapped lips
  • Help prevent dry cuticles
  • Helps soothe dry skin patches
  • Helps reduce fine lines under the eyes
  • Helps moisturise & nourish split ends
  • Helps nourish eye lashes
  • As a healer for nipple tape rash
  • Helps with small cuts, burns and abrasions
  • Helps sore noses from blowing
  • Helps soothe Nappy rash
  • Helps with itchy skin and eczema
  • Helps soothe sore nipples from breastfeeding
As a product, Dr.Lipp is 100% pure and natural, hyper allergenic, tasteless and odourless and it contains no parabens or fragrance and is approved by Ecocert France. Dr Lipp is made from 100% ultra pure medical grade Lanolin which is harvested during the summer from natural Sheep’s wool and cleansed of all impurities to make our ultra pure ‘Queen’ of Lanolin.

Finally, Dr Lipp is:
  • Proven to help reduce skin roughness by 40% in one hour.
  • Considered by dermatologists and scientists to be one of the safest ways to care for your skin as the Lanolin lipids (oils) are so similar to your skin’s natural oils that they easily penetrate & absorb deeply into your skin.
For me this is a brilliant product and I absolutely love it, it does everything that it states it will do for the ways in which I use it.

Have you tried Dr Lipp? Do you like it?

Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy by Bodhi

A few months ago I was lucky enough to win Sandra from Beauty Balm's Summer Giveaway, see the post here and since that win I think I have completely fallen in love with the Bodhi Product especially the Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy.

Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy by Bodhi

I am new to Bodhi products, I had at the time only read about them across the Bloggersphere and never tried anything from the range, so trying something for the first time is always quite exciting.  Given the following description from Bodhi:

Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy by Bodhi

"Rejuvenate the body and mind with our revitalising fusion of Peppermint, Marjoram and Frankincense. This is not for the faint hearted – get your skin and senses ready for an instant burst of life! Skin is highly refreshed and rejuvenated, cleansed but never taut or dry. All skin types, especially dull or oily. Great for after sports"

All I can say to you is that it is simply amazing. If you want something to wake you up in a morning when you have a shower, well it certainly does that with both the Peppermint and Spearmint working together to wake you up and alert your senses, not only that but they also work to boost your circulation and if you have dry skin, they help to nourish. There are a whole host of other essential oils within this product too, such as:

  • Frankincense - is a calming ingredient which can help soothe and relieve muscle aches and pains.  It also rejuvenates the skin
  • Marjoram helps to relieve stress and like Frankincense helps to calm and soothe as it has good muscle relaxant properties
  • Lavender & Rosemary whilst both have antiseptic properties but also have other uses such as -  Lavender tones and revitalises the skin, so if like me you can be prone to oily skin it can be useful.  Rosemary on the skin helps to ease congestion, puffiness and swelling as well as improving your circulation.
  • Lactic Acid helps to rejuvenate as well as help with anti-ageing.
Naturally there are many more essential oils such as Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, May Chang, Thyme and finally Clove, all of which you can read by visiting the website.

Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy by Bodhi

As well using this in the shower, you can use it in the bath which I have done on quite a few occasions and put simply it is so relaxing I almost fall asleep everytime I use it.

For more information on this product or anything else in the Bodhi range you can find them HERE and this particulatly product retails at £23 for 250ml and it is worth every single penny!  They also only test their products on humans and not on animals!

Elle Macpherson Rotating Dry Body Brush

A few weeks ago,The Elle Macpherson Rotating Dry Body Brush arrived in a lovely package for me to try and review. It is described as a product which promotes healthy glowing skin and aids lymphatic drainage. Hmm okay, if it makes me look like Elle 'The Body' Macpherson then I am definitely up for giving it a try and I am so rubbish at forgetting to use my other brush that I am hoping this will remind me to do the job.

Dry skin brushing is one of the most simple ways to improve your overall energy and well-being in addition to improving the health and appearance of your skin. It can also help improve drainage of the lymphatic system, essential for removing toxins from the body, improves circulation, stimulates the nervous system and can even improve digestion. Apparently, regular brushing can also help prevent cellulite and exfoliate dead-skin cells leaves the skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

To use this brush, following the accompanying instructions, it is recommend that for the best results you should carry out dry skin-brushing all over the body every day before you bathe or shower and if using it to rid yourself of cellulite then use it twice a day on those affected areas.  It comes with a detachable head.

Anyway this brush is one that needs to be charged and it comes with everything you need, so all you need to do is plug it in, wait for it to charge and you are away and best of all once it is charged it lasts for at least 45 minutes which means you can pretty much use it on most parts of your body before it runs out of charge.

So I have now used this brush quite a few times and I have to say I absolutely love it. It is not only easy to use but it makes the job of brushing your skin so effortless all it takes is a few seconds to do each limb and you are done, that simple.  After using this my skin is positively glowing and now the colder weather has set in I intend to keep using it so that I don't end up rocking the Freddie Kruger look with dry horrible skin.

This product is available in many department stores such as Argos, and Amazon to name but a few and it costs just £39.99

Do you think you would use one?

Amie Skincare - Your Skins Best Friend

Amie has become a brand I am always excited to see and use. the name meaning friend in French, is a brand which is non-expensive, kind to skin and contains no nasties. My morning routine at the minute involves two Amie products - first there is Morning Clear which is a facial wash and then there is Morning Dew, a matte finish moisturiser.

Starting with Morning Clear which is in the pastel pink coloured tube, this product is pH-balanced and uses what are called harmonising natural actives such as:

  • mayblossom and elderflower purify and decongest the skin, keeping oiliness in check and helping prevent spot formation.
  • Natural sugar moisturisers ensure skin is not stripped or dried out.
  • Cocoa seed butter nourishes and sweet almond oil softens.
  • Orange blossom and raspberry tone pores and refresh skin.
Putting all of these ingredients together it leaves your skin feeling fresh, properly washed and smooth to the touch. What I love about this product is the texture of the wash which is quite creamy and it lathers really well upon contact with water and the fruity smell it gives is wonderfully refreshing.

After showering and then further using a toner and cleanser, I moisturise and again with Amie. Morning Dew, which is contained within a pastel yellow coloured tube.

Morning Dew is described as being a "really light daily moisturiser that’s totally mineral oil-free and parabens-free" which I am sure will get the thumbs up from some bloggers. As you apply this to your skin, it is surprisingly quick to absorb itself and it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth to the touch. When a product states that it will leave a matte finish what does it really mean? Well in the case of this moisturising cream I am told that "it gives skin all the hydration it needs while controlling shine and leaving a smooth, matte finish that’s a perfect base for make-up or facing the day or night ‘au naturel’" and having used it for the last few weeks I can almost certainly tell you that it does that.

As with the facial wash, this product also contains those harmonising natural actives and in this case they are:

  • organic rosehip and bilberry nourish,
  • natural plant sugars hydrate
  • Vitamin E acts as an anti-oxidant protecting against sun damage and pollution.
  • Lemon Fruit Extract acts as an effective antiseptic
  • Orange Blossom is an excellent skin clarifying agent, helping to remove excess sebum and keep oily skin clear.

Again this smells really wonderful and it has one of those scents which lingers on your skin all day long. As someone who often suffers from an oily t-zone, I can confirm that it does indeed help remove excess sebum and keep oily skin clear, so much so that I haven't even opened the new pack of blotting pads I bought prior to use these two products.

Both of these products retail for £4.95 and they can be found in places like Waitrose or from their own website which you can find HERE

Have you tried these products? have you tried any Amie products?

Is it really a Miracle Oil?

When Bio Oil first hit the UK market back in 2002 I remember quite a few of my friends buying it and using it and over the year a lot of my friends who have had children have used it to keep their stretch marks at bay.  I have never had children, but I naturally have a few marks on my body, some of which I more than want to hide from view.

The Bio Oil bottle is encased in a cardboard box which is both white in colour and detailed with a bright orange, almost luminous writing.  You are told on the box that it is for specialist skincare and that helps scars, stretch marks and so on.  Everything you need to know about this product can be found written on the box - everything from what it is, how to use it, what it does and its ingredients are all detailed.

Opening the box there is a further information leaflet inside which re-iterates what you will have read on the box.  Then comes the Bio Oil bottle -  a clear see through plastic bottle with a white screw on and off lid, your eyes are immediately drawn to the Oil inside the bottle which you can clearly see, a first description of it, I would say it is a slightly orange colour.

One of Bio Oils key ingredients is called 'PurCellin Oil' which is easily absorbed into the skin and this particular ingredient is said to help with :

  • Dehydrated Skin: Helps replenish the skin’s natural oils, stripped away by factors such as extreme weather, water with high chemical content, frequent bathing and the drying effects of central heating and air-conditioning

  • Weight Related Stretch Marks:  Helps prevent formation of stretch marks during periods of rapid weight gain or loss and helps to improve the appearance of existing stretch marks

  • Uneven Skin Tone: Helps improve appearance of uneven skin tone caused by hormonal fluctuations, skin lighteners or excessive sun exposure

  • Ageing Skin: Helps smooth and tone ageing, sagging and wrinkled skin on both the face and body, including skin over exposed to UV light. Plus ideal for age spots and softening cuticles

  • Daily Moisturiser: Helps moisturise the skin and can be used in conjunction with other skincare products as part of your everyday skincare routine. Built into a daily skin care routine, Bio-Oil can be applied all over the body, including the face, on its own or underneath a daily moisturizer, or as a night treatment. Great for dry patches such as dry elbows, heels and anywhere else that needs some TLC
  • Scars:  Improves appearance of new and old scars whether from surgery, accidents, burns, insect bites, scratches and chickenpox.
You can see more information on Bio-Oil and all of its claims here - http://www.bio-oilprofessional.co.uk/

Bio oil is designed to help improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks, help with uneven skin tone and hydrate aging skin, whilst combating fine lines and wrinkles. Bio oil is made without harming animals and contains an ingredient called PurCellin Oil, it is toxicological safe and can be used by pregnant women. Other ingredients within this product include:

  • Vitamin A – helps improve the skin’s elasticity, texture and tone
  • Vitamin E – helps increases the moisture content of the epidermis, thereby making the skin softer, smoother and more supple. Vitamin E also assists in the maintenance of healthy-looking skin
  • Calendula Oil – has the ability to clarify and stimulates the growth of new skin cells
  • Lavender Oil – known for calming and soothing benefits
  • Rosemary Oil – helps to invigorate and it has a mild antiseptic capabilities and thus eases congestion, puffiness and swelling of the skin
  • Chamomile Oil – has a calming and soothing effect and is particularly beneficial for sensitive skin

Further details on the rest of the ingredients can be found on the Bio Oil homepage which you can find HERE

As this oil has quite a thin consistency, you might need to be careful when dispensing it, though the bottle has its own inbuilt dispenser to help with applying it, but I tend to use it by pouring some into the palm of my hands and then rubbing my palms together before applying to the skin.  When you apply this oil to the skin, it wont come as a surprise to find that it is greasy, but only for those few seconds it remains on your skin without being massaged in, the second you begin to massage your skin it disappears immediately and all it leaves behind is a lovely rose and lavender scent on your skin.

I have a few scars on my body from injuries, one which really makes me feel self conscious was on my foot.  When I was 10 years old I managed to put a gardening fork through my foot (yes I did) and then pulled it out again.  I am sure you can imagine the damage it caused and over the years this scar has been something I have been embarrassed by, so this was my main ‘attack’ area with Bio Oil, the other being a scar on my wrist from an iron.  So since the beginning of February, I have used Bio Oil, as instructed on many scars across my body, but mainly on these two and I am amazed by what I have found.  Below is a photo of my ironing injury, as you can see there is a slight outline of what was once there, usually I have my watch covering the majority of the scar, so there are no other photos of it, but the difference for me is amazing.  The scar on my foot is much older than the one on my wrist and again there has been a noticeable improvement in how the scar looks, it has faded a lot and again for me this is brilliant.

Bio Oil does advise that you should use this oil for a minimum of 3 months and whilst for me we are almost at the 6 week stage, half way there, the changes are really significant. I am beginning to feel much more at ease and I know that it cannot remove these permanent scars, but it has made living with them much easier.

For me, this has been a brilliant oil  and with its many uses, it is something I think everyone should try, if they haven’t done so already and probably something someone should have in their home somewhere for when they need that little extra bit of TLC or want to try it for themselves.  It is available in three different sizes:
  • 60ml rsp £8.95
  • 125ml rsp £14.95
  • 200ml rsp £19.95

And you will find it in a whole host of stores, such as -  Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Lloyds Pharmacy, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose, Savers, Wilkinsons, and many independent pharmacies nationwide.   Bio Oil also have a Facebook page which you can find here -https://www.facebook.com/biooiluk

Finally Bio-Oil is preservative-free and is not tested on animals

Have you ever used Bio-Oil?  What did you think to it?

For the Love of Shea Butter

Shea Butter is quite possibly one of my favourite scents in a cream or lotion (aside form coconut) it reminds me of Caramac bars, a childhood love I shared with my late Grandfather.  I first came across Shea Butter back in my teens when I was looking for something to soothe and cure my dry shins, a skin problem I have had for many years now and it drives me insane.

I was recently sent a lovely tin of Pure Health Shea Butter Skin Food to try and as soon as the package arrived, it was ripped open.  Inside the package was this 100g tin:

Pure Health Shea Butter Skin Food is sold in quite a funky retro tin and is available for £9.19 whereupon which 10% of the profits are donated to development projects in Africa.    The tin itself tells you that this product is 100% pure, meaning it contains no parabens, sulphates or paraffin to irritate the skin. Instead what will you find is something that is rich in Vitamins A, E and F and being so it is not the only kind to your skin but will also be both nourishing and rejuvenating and it has shown to be effective in treating certain skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis add to that it is also said to be effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks and wrinkles - now where exactly can you get some of this miracle butter?

Right here -  Pure Health’s Shea Butter Skin Food (£9.19 for a 100g).

What they say

“From the seeds of the shea tree comes the gift of shea butter. A wonderful natural balm and skin moisturiser appreciated by many with dry, irritated skin. Unlike the white, odourless, refined shea butter that goes into so many cosmetic products today, our shea butter is pure, unrefined shea butter sourced from women's cooperatives in West Africa. In addition, refined Shea Butter has usually been extracted from the shea kernels using hexane or other petroleum solvents, traces of which are often present in the finished product, which also lacks many of the soothing, nutritive properties of unrefined, virgin shea butter.

Like all premium unrefined shea butter, it has a characteristic nutty scent, which disappears after a few minutes when rubbed on the skin. Unrefined shea butter is a very versatile active ingredient for skin and hair care products and has excellent anti-aging, soothing and moisturising properties.”

Shea Butter has been around for many years and it does appear in quite a lot of products, particularly those which are moisturising, hydrating and it even appears in make-up products such as lip balms and lipsticks.  I really like Shea Butter as an ingredient for those reasons and it has a lot of uses:

  • Helps heal scars, burns, and stretch marks.
  • Prevents ashy skin, chapping, and skin rashes.
  • An ideal hairdressing that protects the scalp from sores and rashes and prevents dandruff.
  • Helps prevent weak hair from breaking, fading, or thinning out.
  • Fortifies cuticles and nails.
  • Helps bruises to heal.
  • Helps drain toxins from sore muscles: perfect for sports participants.
  • Helps prevent skin irritation for babies: used for generations to help babies sleep better.
  • Use after shaving to prevent irritation and restore skin's natural lustre.
  • Ideal for dry skin, dermatitis, eczema, sunburn and athletes foot.
  • Rejuvenates skin pores and adds elasticity to skin.
  • Firms up ageing skin and helps clear wrinkles.
  • Massage Shea butter into areas affected by arthritis, joint pains, or other muscular aches.
  • Naturally, contains vitamins A and E.

Upon opening the tin, using a simple twisting action, the first thing I noticed was the creamy look of the Shea Butter, as you wipe your hand across the Shea Butter, which is packed tightly into the tin, it is almost a solid, until the heat from your body touches it and it simply glides onto your finger, then onto you skin and it is so smooth to the touch.  As it glides onto your skin, it disappears almost immediately and leaves behind no hint that it was there in the first place, there is no greasiness to the skin, so snail-like trail it was once there, instead all you are left with is soft, smooth skin which is purely delightful.

As for the scent, well it came as a surprise to me that there was no sweet smell, instead there is this soft aroma that had a slightly nutty scent to it, nothing too overpowering, in fact it is so delicate you would almost not notice it, if you weren’t looking for it and it is quite nice.

This Shea Butter is Fair Trade and suitable for Vegans.  It also doesn't contain:

  • Parabens or other preservatives
  • Parafin or other petrochemicals
  • Solvents or Perfumes
After using it for a few weeks, concentrating on one area of my body, my shins, there is already a notable difference to the dry skin on my shins, it hasn’t disappeared entirely but I no longer resemble a reptile about to shed its skin. Instead, my shins are soft and smooth to the touch and I am now not as embarrassed by my legs and I will continue to use this product until it runs out because I can see how beneficial it has been and will be.
In the last week, I have been using it on my nail cuticles, which is looking quite haggard in the hope it will soften and soothe them and too.

So Simple, So Smooth, So Fab!

I have always had a fairly good skincare regime; it was on some advice of my Grandma when I was quite young who said I should always take care of my skin.  For years I stuck to using Johnson’s Baby Lotion, a smell I adore and a product that isn't overly expensive.  I have always cleansed and exfoliated but never quite found the best Toner and the former two never quite the product that I could swear I would always use and never buy anything else, I have over the years chopped and changed.

When I was asked if I would like to try something from the Simple Skincare range I jumped at the chance.  I had never used anything from this brand before but had heard a few friends mention how good it was and such great value.  A week or so later a package duly arrived and inside I was greeted with three products:
  • Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes
  • Simple Kind to Skin revitalizing eye roll-on
  • Simply Kind to Skin Replenishing 12 hour moisture Cream

I am going to start with the Cleansing Facial Wipes and review the other two separately.
Over the years I have had a love hate relationship with facial wipes, they have either left my skin feeling too dry or they haven’t removed all the make-up they have claimed they will but as a product they could be so convenient and less time-consuming than the task needed to be.  So for the last few years I haven’t bothered using them, instead I have used other products in their place and been satisfied.  Simple say “Our Cleansing Facial Wipes refresh and nourish your skin plus remove waterproof mascara. Our wipes contain a perfect blend of our purest possible skin loving ingredients with an added vitamin” and then it is good to note that these wipes is that they claim to have:
  • 1 ADDED VITAMIN  - PRO-VITAMIN B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth
  • NO ALCOHOL, NO OIL
  • NON DRYING and NO GREASY residue
  • NO DYES
  • NO ARTIFICIAL PERFUMES
  • NO HARSH IRRITANTS to upset skin

Excellent news and as you remove them from the packet really easily, is how soft the wipe actually is, it isn't wringing wet through either which I have found with similar products and this I liked from the start.  There is no chemical aroma smell which again gets the thumbs up from me and as you use them on your face, they are so soft you could almost be using a piece of Muslin cloth to clean your face.  The first time I used these wipes, I have to admit I was a little bit shocked.  Its like the first time you get a Dyson Hoover and clean your carpet only to suddenly feel like a total tramp because of all the dirt and dust it picks up, despite the fact you hoover three times a day.  Imagine what came off my face onto this wipe the first time I used one, it was seriously gross and I almost considered not using the wipes again incase it was some kind of trick, but my skin felt so soft and smooth after using them and my face felt clean.  These wipes are designed to gently cleanse your face and I was impressed to find that they are really effective at removing all traces of make-up and even my mascara which is BeneFit ‘They’re Real’ which can be a nightmare to remove, was gone.  Add to that how soothing they are to your skin when applied, delightful.

These wipes also no not irritate my eyes  or make them itchy, they don’t cause any reactions with my skin and as I sometimes wear contact lenses, I was impressed to find that these wipes are suitable for those of us who wear them.  So these wipes are kind enough to be used on sensitive skin because they are hypoallergenic and powerful enough to remove my BeneFit mascara,  what more could you want?  Well, these wipes do completely remove dirt, make-up, and oils which for me is quite important as I can, during a certain time of the month, suffer with a shiny face and I always look for products which can control it, no need to anymore, these wipes are brilliant at removing excess oil from my skin without stripping it of moisture.

These wipes come with 25 wipes within the packet and cost £3 in my local Tesco from where I have bought another packet because I am so impressed with them.  I love these wipes because they leave my skin feeling smooth and hyrdated rather than dry and irritated and the best feeling of all is having fresh, clean skin.

** Further information **
These wipes are:
  •  Dermatologist tested
  • Ophthalmologist tested
