L'Occitane Shea Sparkling Leaves Collection

I don't think L'Occitane will ever release a product that I am more obsessed about than the Almond Shower Oil, or indeed the entire Almond Collection, it is just the best. However, that doesn't mean I am not wanting to try every other product that is released, especially when it sounds so scrumptious.

Meet the Shea Sparkling Leaves Rich as Honey collection, described as being a citrusy green scent of Sparkling Leaves where fresh notes of mandarin and ginger, glister against the warm backdrop of woody shea and sandalwood. Simply divine. The collection comprises of some amazing products and I am sharing five of them with you in this post, so whether you choose to love one of them or all five of them, you are in for a treat.  

Starting with the Shea Sparkling Leaves Rich as Honey Shower Gel (£17.50) you have a product which is suitable for all skin types and one which is enriched with softening shea butter and moisturising olive oil to gently cleanse the skin while at the same time leaving it delicately fragranced with what is described as being 'a scent inspired by a walk in the Provençal olive tree fields, combining fresh and sparkling notes of olive tree leaves and fruits'.  Not only does it smell exactly as that description envisages, it has a texture that looks just like dark honey and is divine on the skin.

The second product is the Shea Sparkling Leaves Body Exfoliating Scrub (£30) and it is designed to soften and smooth the skin.

Again, it has an infusion of shea extract, olive oil and olive leaf powder which again has those scent notes of sunny fruit and olive leaves, but the best part is the indulgent jelly texture which I was not expecting to find and it reminds me of a crushed Kiwi Fruit, though it smells a whole lot better. On the skin, the Olive Leaf Powder works its magic to exfoliate your skin to leave it feeling not only soft and smooth to the touch, but also delicately scented too.

Up next is the Shea Sparkling Leaves Extra-Gentle Soap (£5.50) which you can get a real scent of before removing the wrapping.

Again, this soap is enriched with shea butter, an ingredient known for its softening and nourishing properties, it not only cleanses the skin but also envelopes it with that same citrusy green set of notes which runs throughout this collection. When mixed with warm water, it creates a generous lather, so whether you choose to use it to just wash your hands, or elsewhere, the scent lingers on the skin and in the room it has been used in.

One brand that is guaranteed to have me using their body creams is L'Occitane, so within this collection is the Sparkling Leaves Ultra Light Body Cream (£34.50) and again, packaged similarly to the Body Scrub, it is just a delight to use.

Again, formulated with 5% shea butter, this body cream works to leave the skin feeling supple, comfortable and moisturised. It has a really unique whipped like texture which melts onto and into the skin when applied and as it does so, those green citrus notes again, lightly scent the skin.

Then finally, fans of the brand won't be too shocked to see that this collection features a hand cream, The Sparkling Leaves Light Hand Cream (£22).

Again, formulated with 5% Shea Butter, this hand cream has the same whipped cream texture as the body cream and when used, it leaves skin feeling soft and protected from dryness. If like me you make your way through a tube of hand cream as quick as a box of Maltersers, then this one is super special, those cirtusy green notes are really noticeable and my hands are always left feeling really nourished after using.

The Perfect Picture Gift with My-Picture

Now Halloween has been and gone, I can start to think about Christmas, songs are already playing in Supermarkets and the decorations are out. But deciding what to purchase for who can be an absolute minefield, so I have a brilliant idea for you and it is with My-Picture.co.uk. 

My-Picture is a website that is dedicated to turning all of your photographs into an amazing gifting option. Like most people, I take a lot of photos, mainly of my three cats but when I've taken them, it is knowing what to do with them, often they just end up being saved to my Cloud and occasionally I will sit and scroll to relive the memories, but what if you could do more with them? The obvious answer is to create a Photo Book, something I have done in the past as gifts for parents and grandparents, but what is there was something much more fun.

It all started with a passion for pictures and art and a want to combine the two. With the realisation that many people placed beautiful art on their walls while putting their own photographic creations into a box in their bedroom. They knew there had to way to change this and make it easier to display those beautiful images we have all captured.

So, I have given the task to create some gifts and I first looked at creating a City Map Poster which could have been used to create a unique gift for our wall, maybe of a memory or a special place, but other items caught my attention.

The first item was a Snow Globe Photo Frame in which I chose a photograph of my two kittens when I managed to get them to pose together, as shown above. What drew me to this product was being able to choose not only the photo but the choice of 4 glitter types.

Made using an Acrylic glass frame which is 25mm thick, it is sturdy enough to stand on its own anywhere on a flat surface and doesn't need to go on a wall and it is just stunning. Priced at just £11, it won't break the bank and is the perfect way to share a special moment with a loved one.

The second item I chose was a set of 5 MixMag Magnets (there is also an option to choose 10 magnets) and again, you can use them to create a really special gift.  Again, there is a choice of 4 different designs for your magnets:

• Vintage

I chose the Vintage option which shows the magnets designed to look like a Polaroid photo with the stylish white border.  They are each measured at 6 x 8 cm in dimension, so they are definitely noticeable and again, I chose special photographs of my cats, both past and present and every day I get to look at them as they are placed on my fridge.  Priced at just £8, they are brilliant and again, the quality is exceptional.

The final item is really personal and also a bit of fun. I chose to create a Personalised Blanket.  With the weather now truly cold, wet and miserable, what more coud you want than to be wrapped up in a blanket that features your loved one?

This time, the Blanket features a photo of my husband and it is a great gift for myself, maybe him or my Mother-in-Law.  Described as being a luxuriously downy and super-soft blanket, it is made from polar fleece with an extra layer of premium plush. Available in three different sizes, I chose the 150 x 100 cm version for just £42 and it is worth every single penny, machine washable, super snuggly and the print quality surpassed my expectations.

Douvall's Rescue Ritual Cleanse & Nourish Gift set

They have a whole host of amazing products and today, I a sharing the Douvall's Rescue Ritual Cleanse & Nourish Gift set.

The Douvall's Rescue Ritual Cleanse & Nourish Gift Set, is a limited edition collection which aims to simplify your skincare routine. It features two multi-tasking products to give all you need for a radiant and glowing complexion, and whilst it might be a but early, it does make a great gift for beauty and skincare fans.

Inside this package are two of Douvall's best-selling treasures - The Argan Cream Cleanser and a Milky Argan Active.

Starting with the Argan Cream Cleanser (£29) This luxurious, yet lightweight cream cleanser is enriched with pure argan oil alongside a blend of hydrating and nourishing oils, such as almond, safflower seed and grapeseed oils, they come together to gently purify, cleanse, tone and exfoliate your skin to leave it feeling soft, supple, and rejuvenated.

Designed to be applied to dry skin, the advice is to use the bamboo spatula to take a small drop of the cleanser which you warm between clean fingers and massage onto dry skin. The cleanser comes with an accompanying muslin cloth in warm water and then press the warm cloth onto face and repeat for a deep cleanse, the cloth helps to exfoliate the skin, all without leaving it feel stripped.

The second product is the Organic Milky Argan Active moisturiser (£62). This beautiful product is a  lightweight milk-based solution which is enriched with purified water and micro droplets, alongside 100% pure Argan oil, along with Argan active which is packed with flavonoids which inhibits free radicals, protects and repairs collagen, giving your skin the care and nourishment it deserves.

Designed to penetrate the skin to offer deep hydration and skin rejuvenation, this formula penetrates deeper to nourish and plump your skin from within. To use, the advice is shake it to wake it and then simply massage a few drops onto clean skin day and night. It also works really well as a primer too.

The Rescue Ritual Cleanse & Nourish Gift Set, which is priced at just £56, is packaged in a luxury eco-friendly gift box which reflects the brand's commitment to sustainability. To further preserve the precious products and protect the environment, all items are housed in amber glass bottles.
