I opened my account when I was 18 and before I knew it it had a £4,000 credit limit. From personal experience I think these are a bad idea unless you 100% trust yourself and will pay it off before any interest free periods end. I got myself into a lot of trouble with catalogues and now I don't buy anything unless I have the cash. As long as you don't go mad, I'm sure these are great schemes, particularly if your problem is simply cash flow. These are both massive brands and with that comes a high degree of trust - much preferable to using loan sharks. I always use my Mastercard to buy stuff as I earn cash back points every time I shop.
