Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks

Wearing a facemask when leaving the house has become part of my outfit, I'm not talking about those relaxing, skin softening and cleansing ones, but ones which are designed to prevent you from infecting other people with your germs - be it a cold or Covid19 symptoms. But wearing a mask does come with issues for anyone who likes to wear lipstick everyday - it smudges and well it can leave you looking a little startled when the mask is removed.

One brand that ensure this does not happen is Too Faced and the Melted Matte range.  I have been lucky enough to feature a few of the Melted Matte lipsticks on my blog in the past and today I have three more to add to my collection.

The Melted Matte Range is described as being a liquified long wear lipstick with the staying power of a stain and the intense colour of a liquid lipstick.  These lipsticks are also infused with Volulip™ which is a no-sting lip plumper and filler to give you that fuller lip look. Then there is also the inclusion of Avocado Oil, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which works to smooth and moisturise.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how lightweight these lipsticks feel on the lips, they glide on beautifully thanks to the Doe-foot applicator, this has been designed to ensure the lipsticks coat the lips evenly and once it is applied, nothing is budging that colour, they are probably the longest lasting lipsticks I have ever used.

Available in 19 shades from Too Faced, so whether you like the bright boldness of a red or a more neutral shade, they have something to tick those box and even if you like something a little unusual and Green, they have that too. I have three which are:
  • Prissy - If ever there was a shade which is perfect for the festive season it is this shade. A beautiful shade of red, which has a blue undertone to it.
  • Stay The Night - A Vivid Raspberry pink which if you, like me, you cant get away with wearing red, this is a nice alternative
  • Bottomless - A light ballet pink shade
As you can see from the swatches, which are unedited, each one of the shades is really beautifully bright and despite being called a 'Melted Matte' it definitely doesn't give the feel or wear of being Matte.

It isn't drying and nor does it make your lips feel as though they might crack should you smile. However, most importantly, under a mask, the colour, whichever you wear, doesn't smudge, smear or transfer anywhere.

Priced at £20 each, these Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks can be found via Cult Beauty*, Boots* (currently on offer for £16.15), Lookfantastic*, John Lewis*  ((currently on sale for just £17) and even the UK site for Too Faced.
