So the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping Device is one device I actually wasn't excited by, having been offered the chance to review it, I actually said it wasn't for me, but it arrived a good few weeks ago and I ignored it, leaving it sat there in a box unloved and unused, then boredom set in and I thought I would try it out. I have no issue with how my lips are right now, I've never wanted fillers and those over-done baboon bum looking lips are just not for me, but maybe this could be!
PMD® Kiss is described as being:
A smart anti-ageing lip plumping treatment. It uses pulsating vacuum technology and specially formulated serum to create a fuller appearance of lip volume and restores youthfulness to lips. With daily use, PMD Kiss will boost collagen and create long-lasting plumped up results.
So as well as plumping the lips, it also has other uses, which personally appeal to me much more. So with the promise of reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, there is also the promise to restore and revitalise your natural lip colour, which as we age we lose slightly and to get long-lasting results with all of this is obviously dependant upon daily usage.
Using this device is really easy and it starts with the enclosed lip serum which you need to apply to both lips before using the device. Once it has been applied, you choose your preferred setting and the choice is fast or slow. Then switch on the power and place the pink Plumping Tip firmly and directly onto your lip creating a tight seal for suction, it is worth mentioning at this stage that the device is totally pain-free and whilst it does feel slightly weird, you quickly get used to the sensation. I have found the best way of using my device is to imagine my lips in sections and then 'per section' leave the device on my lips for 15-30 pulses.
After using the device, there is a slight plumping of my lips and whilst I definitely did not get Baboon Bum Lips, the effects last for around an hour but it is said the more you use it, the longer the effects last with an increase in collagen production and lines around the lips looking less obvious. With that in mind, it is a device I feel I should use for longer than 3 weeks but it is one that leaves me also sitting on the fence. It is priced at £125 which isn't cheap but you can find it and further information here and also read the review written by Lucy over at Lucy Earnshaw for her view on the device.

So far I've found the results to be very subtle. It's a great little device though and gives my lips such a weird sensation. Sometimes I just use the serum on its own.
ReplyDeleteThis surprised me - I wasn't sure what to expect but I found that it evens my top lip up with my bottom lip and once I got used to the "sucking" sensation, it was fine! Very expensive though! xx

Wow this is super expensive, especially considering it only plumps the lips for an hour! I'd be far too scared it would bruise around my lips from the suction! Xx

Same as me, very subtle results. I think with continued usage you would see results, but even then not major ones!x
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm I don’t know if I would buy to be honest, but appreciate the in-depth and honest review as always xx
ReplyDeleteI love that this isn't for creating huge, dramatic lips but just a subtle plumping effect!
ReplyDeleteLove the honesty I’m the review. I said no to this product as I just wasn’t sure about it and the bruising it can cause
ReplyDeleteIt looks like an interesting product but I don’t think it’ll be one but I would really get any use out of x

They are pretty pricey aren't they but a good alternative to the needle I guess x
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!! love your blog

This isn't something I would use personally but doesn't it look interesting!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting alternative to lip fillers! x
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really interesting x
ReplyDeleteAn interesting idea but I don't think I could cope with the product - I have a few oddities about me!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE lip plumping products. I don't know why but I always have! Haha. It sounds like a great little product, and it's great the effects aren't OTT or too long lasting. I'd love to try it, but it's a little out of my budget though x
ReplyDeleteOoh I was so intrigued by this. I’m glad it didn’t give you baboon bum lips haha. I wouldn’t pay £125 for it though, seems too expensive for me x
ReplyDeleteI hate the fad of plumped up lips and I can't believe how much this costs. Surely fillers would be cheaper ?!
ReplyDeleteI'm not particularly taken with anything like this and see little point in spending that much money on something that does very little. I'm not even keen on the concept of lip pumping, so I'm sorry, for me this product is a no no and I wouldn't even take a second look at it. On a fairer point, if you want to do this to your lips, then it is possibly a safer method than fillers, even if it is short term.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've ever thought about using products like these as it's not really something I would interested in. I don't know how much it would improve as you said it doesn't appear to last for long but the fact it helps wrinkles is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteThese always really scare me! I think its because I have big lips anyways!

I really want to try something like this, but thats pretty pricey for something very subtle
ReplyDeleteI do feel like subtle would probably look better, however it depends what look you are going for I suppose. You’ll have to let us know if it gets better the more you use it x
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this!! I have it sitting waiting to try out! Think I'll give it a go this weekend ☺️
