Party planning is not a job I could ever do, ever... it is far too stressful for someone who is so indecisive. That said we have some big birthdays coming up in the office and throwing a party is what we are doing, so we spent an entire lunchtime debating what would be our ideal party to plan, now there are 5 of us in the office, two of whom are male, so yes you can imagine what they thought and what they came up with!
As I found the topic so much fun I thought I would urn it into a blog post and hopefully some of you might have some even better ideas and suggestions!
A Willy Wonka Themed party
A quick look online and there are many companies who can actually provide everything you need to turn your venue into a Willy Wonka Themed party, complete with a golden ticket invite, chocolate machines and oompa loompas.
A Mystical Party
Something a little bit off the wall and intriguing at the same time. The use of Clairvoyants is not something I am new too, infact quite a few of my friends have done this a lot. You invite a Clairvoyant, someone from a company like Kooma, who have a team of gifted Clairvoyants to give your invitees a reading.
Murder Mystery Dinner
Having attended one of these they are good fun, it is like playing Cluedo but more competitive and much more interactive and again there are many companies who can come and organise this for you, or you can actually do it yourself.
Casino Night
A little bit of excitement which can be for real money or just for fun. As I got married in Las Vegas I love this idea, though my Poker face is useless and I am not so good at Blackjack.
So there are some of the ideas we have! Have you ever organised a themed party? Is there a theme you would love for a party?
*Post written in collaboration with Kooma.
I'd love to go to any party that you mentioned. They are all so different and interesting :) What about 50's party? Or maybe Great gatsby party?
ReplyDeleteA 50's party would be amazing, I love the style of the clothes x
DeleteI always say I love the idea of the "Come as Your Childhood Dream" party where people come as what they wanted to be when they were little. And you have all childhood food and games x
ReplyDeleteNow that is a fab idea x
DeleteThose themes are great. What about a 'Dress up as your favorite character from a book'? And act like them all night. Other guests have to guess who you are.
ReplyDeleteLoving that idea x
