Winky Lux - It's a Winky World

You've probably heard of Winky Lux and maybe even seen a few of their products floating about on your social media feeds.  I first came to know Winky Lux some time ago when a friend of mine sent me one of their lipsticks and I just loved the whole concept.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
Described as being a brand who strives to excite and delight with new trends, innovative packaging and luxurious ingredients, Winky Lux products are paraben, sulfate, gluten, phthalate free and they are also against animal testing.  I was lucky enough to be introduced to the latest products from the ever-expanding range and having used them for a good few weeks now, I thought it was time to share them with you.

Known for their lipsticks with a 'flower in' as a friend of mine described the range, Winky Lux also single eyeshadows, eyeshadow palettes, brow pencils, concealers, bronzers, highlighters and so much more.  The first item I have been using is the Tinted Veil.  Available in shades Fair, Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep, I have the lightest shade and it is perfect for my skin tone.

Surprisingly this Tinted Veil is tea infused and is uses white tea and pomegranate extract helps to protect skin while Vitamins A and E nourish.  The formula is really lightweight which is definitely what I've needed in the amazing Summer sunshine we have just had, there is nothing worse than spending your time ensuring your makeup looks perfect, only for it to melt off the skin a few hours later.  Providing a sheer hint of colour, this Tinted Veil is also SPF30 and helps to protect from UV rays.  Priced at £19.

The Matcha Lip Treatment comes next and again this is a product which surprised me with how much I like it.  Looking similar to the Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick, this one is a little more fun.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
Made using real green tea powder and food grade vanilla, this balm is ideal for everyday use as it works to soften, repair and protect your lips.
Also included within the balm you will find
  • Coconut Oil - a naturally antibacterial emollient that provides a protective moisture barrier while it nourishes
  • Avocado Oil - vitamin-packed, super food with long-lasting power
  • Vitamin C - super-healing ingredient that helps repair dry, chapped lips

Putting all of these ingredients together you have a balm, which is a mint green shade, leaving your lips feeling really moisturised.  Priced at £13.

My current obsession with Watermelon is taken one step further with the Watermelon Jelly Balm. This balm uses pH-activated ingredients, which makes it a colour-changing Watermelon Jelly balm. Once applied it goes on clear and then after a few seconds it changes colour to leave your lips looking perfectly pink.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
I have consumed about 3billon watermelons in recent weeks and using a balm which smells exactly like a watermelon is a delight.  Not only does it leave my lips feeling pink, they are also nourished and moisturised too.  Priced at £13.

Staying with balms, the Flower Balm is perhaps a product you are most likely to recognise. Said to be the best selling lip stain, this balm reacts with your own skin's pH levels to create your own unique shade of pink which will be unlike that of anyone else.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
Each flower balms contains a real chrysanthemum flower and they have a beautiful scent of coconut which is such a beautiful aroma.  Again, on the lip, as well as turning them slightly pink, they do feel moisturised and hydrated and for once, I also happen to like my chosen shade of pink!  Priced at £13.

If Glosses are your thing, then Winky Lux have quite the products to capture your attention.  The Disco Glosses are described as being the newest gloss in town and not only are they loaded with cosmic glitter that is more pretty than it is gritty, these Disco Glosses happen to change colour!  I have the shade Groovy which is a beautiful shade of green with beautiful darker flecks of glitter within the gloss which sparkle in the light.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
Once applied onto the lips they are clear but within a few seconds, they change to your perfect shade of pink and look just stunning and they work just as well on their own as they do as a lipstick topper, depending on your preference.  Priced at £13.

Pink isn't usually the shade I would choose for my lips but there is something about having a pink which works with your skin tone which just works and from the swatches below, you can see how different each pink shade is.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
So there we have an introduction to some brand new products to the Winky Lux catalogue and if you want to get your hands on anything from the range then you can via the Winky Lux website, Feelunique, BeautyMart, ASOS and now Boots.

W=HB² Power Duo Serum

When news of the W=HB² serum, curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to give it a try. W=HB² which stands for Wellness = Health X Beauty2 is described as being an exclusive, premium beauty brand which is committed to perfection through the science of wellbeing. Created by Yilin Wang, a leading BioChemist, W=HB² has been researched, developed and produced in one of the leading skincare laboratories in Switzerland using advanced technologies to create a brand that truly delivers.   You can probably see, from that introduction, why I wanted to try the serum for myself!
W=HB² Power-Duo-Serum
W=HB² Power-Duo-Serum
W=HB² Power-Duo-Serum
W=Hb2 embraces this duality with the belief that true beauty is defined by your inner health, peace and spiritual wellbeing, something I have been told on one or more occasion at product launches, it is just W-Hb2 has seemingly put a lot more thought into the meaning behind it.

Wellness = (Health x beauty) Squared = W=Hb2
H = Health – inner body status, the “Yin”. The foundation for beautiful skin.
b = beauty – outer reflection, the “Yang”. The mirror of internal balance.
2 = squared – true wellbeing requires spiritual health and beauty as well as physical.
Positive energy; mind, body, spirit, heart, doubling health and beauty.
= W = Wellness – harmony and balance.

As for the product? Well whilst I know looks are not everything, this is one very luxurious looking product.  With a two-phase, fragrance free, triple action treatment, what you are essentially getting is two products in one bottle thanks to the double pump.  Designed to be applied twice a day after cleansing, the serums work to promote balanced skin health, beauty and protection.  So after cleansing your skin, you simply apply just one pump of Phase 1 and massage it into the skin until it absorbs and then immediately afterwards you apply just one pump again of Phase II and gently massage it into the skin, after which you can complete the rest of your skincare routine.

The two serums:

Phase I For Beauty – REVIVE + REDEFINE + RADIANCE
Tri-Active Age Corrector Ingredient Complex (A light gel texture) With an emphasis on the internal strength and resistance of the cellular matrix, it helps to ensure cellular vitality, hydration and elasticity are maintained to assist repair and delay the effects of premature ageing. Key ingredients and benefits include:

1. PhytoCellTec Alpine Rose Stem Cell: encourages skin stem cell vitality.
2. Biotechnological Tri-Peptide: boosts collagen production.
3. Probiotic Bacterium: skin barrier strengthening.
+ Botanical Sodium Hyaluronate: hydration.

Phase II For Health – PURIFY + PROTECT + REBALANCE

Tri Active Brightening & Anti-Pollution Ingredient Complex. (Soft Pearly Fluid) Protects the outer skin layers to help maintain an effective barrier to environmental and lifestyle aggressors that threaten the internal structural integrity of the skin, slowing cellular turnover and causing damage to skin tone, radiance, strength and elasticity. Key ingredients and benefits include:

1. Niacinamide: UV & blue light damage repair, skin brightening.
2. Moringa Seed Pure Cure Peptide: pollutant purification.
3. Raspberry Stem Cell Technology: ageing environmental stress guard.
+ Sodium Hyaluronate: hydration.

Both of these serums are so lightweight on the skin, it is quite amazing to see just how far one pump actually goes. A gel-like formula, I have found that they absorb fairly well with minimal massaging needed and as soon as Phase I has settled you can immediately apply Phase II.  Not sticky, not tacky and with no fragrance, it is without question an absolute luxury to use.  I have had this serum in my possession now for a good few months and have been using it as advised and what I have found is that where my skin would usually become quite dry and dull, it is infact the opposite - very hydrated and soft to the touch.  What really stands out for me is that there is some UV and blue light damage repair thanks to the inclusion of Niacinamide, an ingredient my skin just loves.

This W=HB² serum is priced at £110 but it is a great investment and in order to tempt you that little bit more, if you use the code Queen15 at the check out (here) you can save yourself £15% but be quick the offer is valid for just 30 days!

WALTZ 7 AROMA SHOWER TABS

Whilst I am at my happiest in water, the sea, a pool and obviously the bath, there are those times when I just want to have a relaxing shower, usually when I've got a hair mask on, have a body scrub to remove or just want to be in water there and then and not have to wait for the bath to fill up - yes I know, first world problems.
Waltz7_Shower_Tabs
It is argued that a shower is never as relaxing as a bath, but I beg to differ because it most definitely can be and I was kindly sent some Waltz 7 Aroma Shower Tabs which is quite a mouthful to say admittedly, but it is what they do that counts. For those of you who sit and dream of having a bath in your apartment, flat or home, whichever it is you call your abode, dreaming and wishing to be surrounded by intense fragrances and breathtaking scents that we get from bubbles baths, oils, bombs and creams, these might just be the answer.

These Shower Spa Aroma Tabs do look a little bit like dishwasher tablets, so don't keep them under your sink with your cleaning materials, but they are for your shower and not your dishwasher.  I was not expecting anything at all from these tabs, I have tried similar products and they had been a letdown, so having already decided they would be useless, I was quite taken aback to find that in fact, they are amazing!
So easy to use, you simply put them in your shower tray, or if you shower is part of your bath, lay them on the floor of the bath and then run the shower as you normally would.  At this point, as soon as the water comes into contact with the tab, and it needs to be fairly hot water, the tabs start to fizz, similarly to a bath bomb and as it does so, some of the most amazing scents are released and you just need to stand there for a few minutes and allow the scents to work their magic.  The tabs are quite big, so you can always break them into two pieces to enjoy more showers whilst using them too!

I have been using three different scents - Inspiring Lemongrass, Energising Mint and Relaxing lavender. All of the fragrances are just as their description states and they use essentials oil for fragrance, so if you want something with a kick them it would be Lemongrass, if you need a bit of a pick me up because you feel a tad sluggish then it is Mint and finally, the perfect one to use before bed is Lavender.  If these are not the scents for you then there are some other options which include Calming Forest, Relaxing Rose, Relaxing Pine and Inspiring Lime.

These shower tabs retail at €19.19 (£17.80) for a pack of 7, which works out at about £2.54 per shower.  What I love is that you don't have to stick to one scent, the site does allow you to buy mixed bundles. Waltz 7 are based in Austria, hence the prices being in Euros, but they do ship to the UK. If you spend over €29, then delivery is free (here).

Have you tried Shower Tabs before?
