New from SEVENTEEN

Seventeen make up has been a regular feature here on Beautyqueenuk of late, with an insight as to what you can find in store here and the Bobbi Brown dupe here they have really upped their game in recent months.

The latest editions to this amazing collection includes two All Out Pout palettes and two Easy On The Eye palettes which are simply incredible.
New from SEVENTEEN
The All Out Pout palettes are available in two options - Woo Me and Fancy Free and both contain a collection of 6 rich satin, gloss and glitter shades plus a mini mirror, a get the look guide and a precision lip applicator and each one costs just £7.99.

The shades within the Woo Me Palette are perfect for the coming season - Peach Shimmer, Knock Out Red, Glossy Grape, Cool Claret, Candied Coral and Metallic Gold and they can all be worn individually or mixed together.

How amazing are these shades? They are so pigmented and easy to wear not to mention long lasting. I wear all of these shades.

The Fancy Free Palette again makes perfect for the coming season and the shades within this palette are not as bold but are equally stunning.  They are Glitter Gloss, Bubblegum Pink, Pastel Pink, Fiery Fuscha, Glistening Nude and Soft Mulberry.

Again, this palette has 6 wearable shades and again they are quite pigmented, I love the first glittery shade which is perfect for adding a bit of sparkle to all your lipsticks.

The Easy On the Eye Palettes are also available in two options - The Big Smoke and Birthday Suit and each one contains a collection of 8 matte, shimmer and pearl powders plus 3 metallic creams and an eye primer so that you an define, shade, contour and highlight.  Again there is a really handy mirror within the lid and a duel ended applicator plus a get the look guide.  Each palette costs just £7.99

Birthday Suit is absolutely stunning and contains shades which are perfect for the daytime but can easily be adapted for a night out - Gentle Pink, Warm ivory, Sun Kissed Peach, Radiant Gold, Cool Rose, Warm Mink, Toasted Almond, Baked Chestnut, Bronzed Buff, Burnt Copper and pink Flush.  The eye primer is the last right hand circle and it is quite a good primer, I have used it a few times with a range of eyeshadows.

This palette is my favourite of the two because of the delicate shades, which can be built up, the swatches show just one brush stroke.

The Big Smoke is again totally stunning and features some really lovely shades such as - Twilight Blue, Onyx Black, Cocoa Brown, Slate Grey, Smoky Marble, Cloudy Lilac, Wild Khaki, Warm Ivory, Cool Aluminium, Pink Flush, Illuminated Bronze and again the eye primer is the last circle on the bottom row.  Again all of the shades can be worn alone or can be used together to create the perfect smoky eye.

As you can see, this palette is perfect for creating the smoky eye with these shades and I tend to mix some of these shades with the those from the first palette to add a bit of depth to my eye makeup.

I am really loving Seventeen right now, there are just some amazing products to be found and at such reasonable prices too.

The Amazing Seventeen Makeup

SEVENTEEN is one of the very first makeup brands that I tried growing up, it was from 17, as they were then that I bought my very first lipstick and lip gloss. Things have changed a lot since then and they have become a brand which has not only upped there game, but one that has some amazing products. Not only are they always on trend, they are also affordable and great quality to boot.

I recently received an amazing surprise parcel from the lovely people behind the brand, containing some of their best selling products, some of which I use and some of which I hadn't ever tried, so here is what I found within my box:

The Amazing Seventeen Makeup

Define & Conquer Contour Kit in Medium*. £5.99
Attempting to Contour isn't something I have found that easy, I have mastered strobing much better. That said, this handy little kit is not only quite sleek in design but it is also handbag friendly and hosts a decent sized mirror. The formula of this is so creamy and pigmented that it blends with ease without looking orange or dirty. The darker powder helps to define you face whilst the lighter powder helps with definition. It comes with a handy 'How Too' guide for those like me, who still need some practice.

Skin Wow Primer*. £5.99

This is a product I have wanted to try for a while now. I am slightly obsessed with highlighters right now and this one is definitely worthy of its name. You can either use it on its own under make-up to create a nice base or on top of your foundation on cheekbones to give a highlight effect or you can mix it with your foundation to create a dewy effect. For £5.99 this is a fantastic product, one I absolutely love and it is perfect for strobing.

I have raved about this shimmer brick here as a great Bobbi Brown Dupe, but it is an item I use constantly. The Shimmering powder brick contains four different shades which work incredibly well together. Starting with a lighter shade and ending with a dark shade, sweeping your Kabuki Brush across all 4 shades creates a fantastic light or dark bronzing affect, depending upon your preference.

Brows That! Brow Kit*. £5.99
If there is one part of my face that I don't do much with, it is my brows. Now before you frown at me there is a reason. Around 3 years ago, I went to a well known store with a friend for threading but it didn't quite go to plan and I ended up with almost no eyebrows at all! Now three years on and after not touching them, I almost have something to resemble eyebrows. This brow kit is quite something, it contains brow wax, brow powder, highlighting powder, brow sculpting pencil and a brow brush. Add to that a handy 'How to use' guide and a decent sized mirror, you have everything you need to do your brows on the go.

Falsifeye HD Mascara*. £6.99
One item I could never be without is mascara and it is the one thing I never leave the house without. This mascara is a brown black shade which isn't too dissimilar to my own eyelash shade. What I love about it is the wand, it has a lovely long handle but the brush itself is so easy to use between the lashes that it does give some volume, something I need more than length as I have long lashes.

Gel Colours in Hurricane & Irish Coffee*. £3.99 each
Gel polishes are it for me. I can no longer be doing with a polish that lasts for a few days on my nails before chipping. I have Hurricane which is the most stunning shade of blue that ive worn a few times now and it does last for just over a week without chipping. Irish Coffee is a stunning nude shade which is perfect for all occasions and both polishes glide onto the nail, the brush is a perfect size for coverage and I have only ever applied one coat. For just £3.99 they are amazing value for money.

There isn't a single product here that I do not like, it has been so good to find some new amazing products to add to my makeup bag. Have you tried anything from SEVENTEEN lately?

Bobbi Brown Dupe from the High-street!

Every do often you swatch a product and think "ooh that me reminds of X"

Well not that long I was sent this lovely Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick compact which is described as follows

"For an instant glow that's like moonlight, sunlight and candlelight, all at once, take this full feathery brush, twirl around the compact and sweep across the face. The result is addictive"

It comes packaged inside this wonderfully sleek black palette with the Bobbi Brown logo/insignia clearly visible and you can read more about it HERE from my review.

Then I happened to be in Boots waiting for a prescription and I had 5-10 minutes to wait (dangerous) so was having a swatching session, well I am a beauty blogger after all, when I swatched a compact from Seventeen, called the Shimmer Brick, and it immediately reminded me of the Bobbi Brown compact and therefore is a great dupe.

Now to me, the idea of the a dupe is a product which is similar, not the same and this Seventeen compact for me, is just that.  The Seventeen compact is described as being:

"A shimmering powder that creates a beautiful pink bronzed glow. Sweep a brush through all 4 shades, then lightly dust onto cheekbones"

So what do they look like?

When I swatched both products together, which you can see below, the Bobbi Brown one is the top swatch and Seventeen the bottom one

So not a perfect match by any means but they are quite similar and if you look at the two swatches, I actually prefer the Seventeen swatch because the colour is so stunning, that said the Bobbi Brown swatch is equally beautiful and is one I wear quite a lot.

The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick would cost you around £32.50 and the Seventeen Shimmer Brick costs just £4.99 - huge saving!

Have you found a good dupe lately?
