Verdant Alchemy Ascent Bath & Shower Oil

Already being a huge fan of the bath salts from Verdant Alchemy, adding a bath oil into the mix is a whole new ball game.
Verdant Alchemy Ascent Bath & Shower Oil
Verdant Alchemy Ascent Bath & Shower Oil
For me, the bath is always a place to retreat to, I am often at my most relaxed in water, perhaps being a Cancerian is the reason for this, but for me, the bathroom is a place of sanctuary and self-care; some me time and only me.

The brand was founded by Vivien Leung in 2018 and is described as being a modern, naturally derived and vegan bath and body brand crafted in London. The brand is rooted in essential minerals and plant-based efficacy; creating products to help you rest, refuel and thrive in today's modern world.

Ascent as an oil is not greasy and it isn't one you will find floating on the surface of your bath water, instead alongside the most wonderful aroma which comes to life within the steam of your bath water or should you prefer to use a shower; simply add a few drops into the palm of hands, and inhale the beautiful scent before applying the oil to the skin during the shower.
Verdant Alchemy Ascent Bath & Shower Oil
This oil is not only rich in vitamins and omega fatty acids, it contains some amazing essential oils such as:
  • lavender and ylang-ylang to help calm your mind and soothe the soul.
  • Sweet and woody ho leaf and cedarwood oils which help to keep you grounded while your spirit soars.
  • Geranium Rose which is a soothing floral oil that promotes mental wellbeing and uplifts the spirit
  • Black Pepper which is a warm anti-inflammatory oil that relieves aches and pains.
If that isn't enough, this multi-tasking oil also nourishes and soothes skin. An absolute luxurious treat and one to be enjoyed at every possible chance.

Priced at £42 it is on the expensive side, but worth every single cap full in my opinion!

Susanne Kaufman Bath Oil Trio

If there is a brand that has fascinated me for some time, it has been Susanne Kaufmann. I first came across them whilst browsing in Liberty and forever regretted not picking up a few products to try, so when I saw this Bath Oil Trio in the sale for just £18, I snapped it up.
Susanne Kaufman Bath Oil Trio
I make no secret of my love of spending time in the bath away from the world and all it’s troubles. My time to clear my head, relax and let the water and my chosen potion do it’s thing.
Indulge the senses with Susanne Kaufmann Bath Oil Trio, a set of bath oils that includes Mountain Pine Bath Oil, Oil Bath for the Senses and Witch Hazel Bath. Each one of this trio of bath oils comes in a glass bottle with delicate herbs inside.
What I love about this trio is that each one is as amazing as the next and it is also a way to be absolutely self-indulgent, which is always a worthwhile cause.

SET CONTAINS

  • Witch Hazel Bath 30ml
  • Oil Bath For The Senses 30ml
  • Mountain Pine Bath Oil 30ml
The Mountain Pine Bath Oil is formulated to invigorate the mind and body as well as to work to relieve muscle tension as it hydrates and nourishes the skin.
Susanne Kaufman Bath Oil Trio
Using essential oils derived from pine and spruce needles, sitting in the oil is a pine sprig which I absolutely loved and they have quite the qualities:
  • Dwarf Mountain Pine - An essential oil with a pleasantly warming and soothing effect on blood circulation, helping to ease muscle tension.
  • Norway Spruce - An essential oil which strengthens and stimulates the blood circulation. It also has an antiseptic effect.
Once added to running hot water, the fresh scent of those oils really grabs yours attention and are incredible soothing and relaxing, it to mention kind to the skin. With both the inclusion of

The second bottle in this trio is the Witch Hazel Bath, perhaps the one which will divide opinion because I find people either love Witch Hazel, or they don’t.
Susanne Kaufman Bath Oil Trio
Once again, featuring amazing ingredients you will find:
  • Mallow - Protects against environmental stressors, moisturises and soothes irritation.
  • Witch Hazel - has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties.
  • Yarrow Extract - which contains ample amounts of vitamin A, called natural retinol. It increases enzyme activity and stimulates collagen production.
As an oil, this is the one you need if you suffer from dry, flaky skin as the Witch Hazel extracts works to help the skin take control over its natural balance and enables it to better regulate its oil production.  The scent, which is definitely one of Witch Hazel and is fairly potent, has a sprig inside to really bring home that scent.

The third and final bottle, known as Oil Bath for the Senses is the one to help you relax and unwind after one of those days when you just haven’t had a minute.
Susanne Kaufman Bath Oil Trio
This oil is formulated using the oils of the ylang-ylang tree, lavender and patchouli plant which come together to work to bring the mind to a relaxing state. The sprig of Rosemary which sits within this oil is used to promote blood circulation and the skin's metabolism plus sugarcane bagasse and corncob replenishes your skin, leaving it feeling smooth, soft and nourished. As with the other two oils in this collection, the bath oil comprises a velvety soft consistency and the aroma is incredibly relaxing and smells just incredible, ticking those boxes to help you unwind.

Each one of these bath oils is incredible in its own right. They are not oily despite their name and nor do they sit on the surface of the water. I am pretty obsessed with these oils and wish I had grabbed two of these bundles and if you’re a fan of relaxing bath oils, then this brand is an amazing one to try!

Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil 55ml

Decorating, cleaning, de-junking, moving furniture all takes its toll when renovating, not to mention shoulder aches, back ache and neck ache from sitting at a laptop working all day. So, a hot steaming bath with Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil has been my go to.
Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil 55ml
The Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil, is described as being a soothing therapeutic bathing oil loaded with the goodness of rosemary, ginger, lavender and black pepper essential oils, making it the perfect antidote to give those muscles the gentle love and care they deserve.

As with all Aromatherapy Associate Oils, this one comes packaged inside a sturdy outer cardboard box and the glass bottle inside is sturdy enough to stand on your bathroom shelf and they look incredible waiting there to be used. As soon as the cap is removed, the most incredible fragrances and aromas already begin to fill that space you are in.
Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil 55ml
Other than their aromatherapy benefits, what I love about these oils is that they are non-sticky. This particular De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil is one I use on my skin directly before lowering myself into a hot bath, which will already contain a capful of that same oil. I’m a huge fan of massaging these oils into my skin before either stepping into the shower or a Bath, there is just something about the aroma that works for me.

This oil is made from 100% natural plant extracts and with it, two ingredients that really need a mention. Firstly we have Black Pepper Essential Oil which known for being a warm and spicy is a powerful circulatory stimulant which helps to ease muscular aches and pains. Sourced from India, this Essential Oil stimulates, energises and warms.  Then there is Chinese Ginger Essential Oil warms muscles and joints whilst boosting circulation. This powerful Essential Oil stimulates the mind and can aid digestion.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Soothes tired muscles
  • Eases joint stiffness and discomfort
  • Non-sticky
  • Makes skin soft and supple
  • Soothing and refreshing benefits of black pepper, rosemary, ginger and lavender essential oils
  • Contains 100% natural plant extracts
I can't recommend this Bath and Shower Oil enough, it is simply wonderful and I have since bought the Essential Oil for my diffuser because it just ticks every box for me right now and there is nothing better than being able to relax and unwind with this scent after a particularly tough day in the office.

This oil, along with many other products from Aromatherapy Associates are currently still on offer with Feelunique and it is well worth taking advantage of that offer.  This particular De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil is just £33.79 instead of £49!

Beauty Pie Soul Providers Relaxing Bath & Shower Oil

I have just made another Beauty Pie order using my allowance, which I have explained here on my blog. A recent convert to the brand, I have just about finished working my way through a whole host of products, which I mentioned in a brief post here and now I am sharing them individually, if I loved them!
Beauty Pie Soul Providers Relaxing Bath & Shower Oil
I am very much a bath person and will have a bath over taking a shower as and when I can, so if I am going to have a bath, I want to make sure I have enough time to enjoy it and relax, rather than a quick dip!  What appealed to me with this Soul Providers Relaxing Bath and Shower Oil, is that it can be used for both options - a bath or a shower.
if you’re lucky - feel as Zen as you do all rubbed up in this exceptionally relaxing aromatherapy shower oil (or bath oil - use as you wish). It’s formulated to help relieve stress and tension, promote better sleep, and help you wind right down at the end of the day.
Having been formulated to help relieve stress and tension as well as to promote better sleep, and help you wind right down at the end of the day, this Bath & Shower Oil contains a whole host of amazing oils and ingredients to help you do just that.
  • Essential Oils - Lavender, Lemon, Bitter Orange, Star Anise and Peppermint
  • Argan Oil - Rich in vitamins A and E to calm, soothe and nourish
  • Ashwagandha Extract (Indian Ginseng) - An anti-aging antioxidant
  • Grapeseed Oil - Quick absorbing, moisturizing and softening
  • Evening Primrose Oil - Rich in Essential Fatty Acids and vitamin E
  • Vitamin E - A powerful skin-protecting antioxidant
As soon as my bath is running, I always allow for a few inches of water to be in my bath before adding anything - bath bomb, oils, bubble bath and so on. Then using just a few drops, as soon as it comes into contact with water, the oil emulsifies and turns into a creamy milk and it is at this point you will catch the scent of Peppermint and Lavender today and as soon as you get into the water, all of those fragrances envelope you and it is incredibly relaxing.

I adore this so much I have ordered another bottle with my allowance, to understand what I mean by that, I wrote a post about how Beauty Pie works here. Needless to say, it is worth every single penny!

If you are a Beauty Pie subscriber, what has been your favourite product to date?

Verdant Alchemy Breathe In Bath and Shower Oil

I first came across Verdant Alchemy as a brand when it came to the Drift Off Mineral Bath Salts which I reviewed here.  Located in South East London, Verdant Alchemy was established in 2018 to provide a natural and non-toxic alternative to mass-marketed bath and skincare. Verdant Alchemy believes in harnessing mother nature most effective ingredients. Creating chemical and toxin free vegan products which are completely natural. They are committed to providing you with healthy and safe products that are sustainably packaged. They also encourage re-usability of all of the packaging.
Verdant Alchemy Breathe In Bath and Shower Oil
New to my bathroom has been the Breathe In Bath and Shower Oil and if you are a follower of my Instagram, you will know that Sunday for me is all about me time and relaxation, so I can usually be found in a bath full of amazing products that helps me to wind down and get ready for the week ahead.
Take a deep breath, focus on slowing down. It’s time for some me-time, so fire up those candles, run the bath and unwind. This potent and luxurious bath oil with eucalyptus, lemon & thyme essential oils will soothe airways and unclog congested minds. Ideal for when you are feeling under the weather.
As the name suggests this product can be used in both the bath or the shower and depending on your mood. With the bath, all you need is one capful of the oil dropped into running water and at this stage, the ingredients work their way into the water vapour and the smell is just incredible.  To use in the shower, you simply shower normally and then add a few drops into the palm of your hands, take a mindful breath and inhale the wonderful scent before applying the oil to your neck and arms.  Those ingredients have all been chosen to ensure you slow down and they include:
  • Apricot Kernal Oil - A nutrient-rich lightweight oil that will leave your skin moisturised and hydrated. Brimming full of Vitamin K, Vitamin E and Omega 6 fatty acids, the oil will nourish and soothe skin.
  • Eucalyptus - An anti-inflammatory and decongestant oil that is cooling and refreshing. It helps relieve stress and muscle ache whilst soothing the respiratory system.
  • Lemon - A citrus scent and natural energiser, it’s incredibly cleansing and helps improve mood.
  • Thyme - An immune-boosting oil that has a green herbal note that lifts energy and relieves stress.
  • Bergamot - A grounding citrus scent that creates feelings of relaxation and calm, helping relax mind and body.
Putting all of these together, what you get is an oil that works wonders to decongest, especially if you are full of cold and generally feeling really run down, the Eucalyptus working wonders alongside the citrus scents of Lemon and Bergamot and they come together to lift your spirits.

For me, this Breathe In Bath and Shower Oil has been a much-welcomed addition to the bathroom and at £32 for 140ml it is worth every single penny.

Are you a fan of bath oils?
