Winky Lux - It's a Winky World

You've probably heard of Winky Lux and maybe even seen a few of their products floating about on your social media feeds.  I first came to know Winky Lux some time ago when a friend of mine sent me one of their lipsticks and I just loved the whole concept.
Winky Lux - It's a Winky World
Described as being a brand who strives to excite and delight with new trends, innovative packaging and luxurious ingredients, Winky Lux products are paraben, sulfate, gluten, phthalate free and they are also against animal testing.  I was lucky enough to be introduced to the latest products from the ever-expanding range and having used them for a good few weeks now, I thought it was time to share them with you.

Known for their lipsticks with a 'flower in' as a friend of mine described the range, Winky Lux also single eyeshadows, eyeshadow palettes, brow pencils, concealers, bronzers, highlighters and so much more.  The first item I have been using is the Tinted Veil.  Available in shades Fair, Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep, I have the lightest shade and it is perfect for my skin tone.

Surprisingly this Tinted Veil is tea infused and is uses white tea and pomegranate extract helps to protect skin while Vitamins A and E nourish.  The formula is really lightweight which is definitely what I've needed in the amazing Summer sunshine we have just had, there is nothing worse than spending your time ensuring your makeup looks perfect, only for it to melt off the skin a few hours later.  Providing a sheer hint of colour, this Tinted Veil is also SPF30 and helps to protect from UV rays.  Priced at £19.

The Matcha Lip Treatment comes next and again this is a product which surprised me with how much I like it.  Looking similar to the Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick, this one is a little more fun.

Made using real green tea powder and food grade vanilla, this balm is ideal for everyday use as it works to soften, repair and protect your lips.
Also included within the balm you will find
  • Coconut Oil - a naturally antibacterial emollient that provides a protective moisture barrier while it nourishes
  • Avocado Oil - vitamin-packed, super food with long-lasting power
  • Vitamin C - super-healing ingredient that helps repair dry, chapped lips

Putting all of these ingredients together you have a balm, which is a mint green shade, leaving your lips feeling really moisturised.  Priced at £13.

My current obsession with Watermelon is taken one step further with the Watermelon Jelly Balm. This balm uses pH-activated ingredients, which makes it a colour-changing Watermelon Jelly balm. Once applied it goes on clear and then after a few seconds it changes colour to leave your lips looking perfectly pink.

I have consumed about 3billon watermelons in recent weeks and using a balm which smells exactly like a watermelon is a delight.  Not only does it leave my lips feeling pink, they are also nourished and moisturised too.  Priced at £13.

Staying with balms, the Flower Balm is perhaps a product you are most likely to recognise. Said to be the best selling lip stain, this balm reacts with your own skin's pH levels to create your own unique shade of pink which will be unlike that of anyone else.

Each flower balms contains a real chrysanthemum flower and they have a beautiful scent of coconut which is such a beautiful aroma.  Again, on the lip, as well as turning them slightly pink, they do feel moisturised and hydrated and for once, I also happen to like my chosen shade of pink!  Priced at £13.

If Glosses are your thing, then Winky Lux have quite the products to capture your attention.  The Disco Glosses are described as being the newest gloss in town and not only are they loaded with cosmic glitter that is more pretty than it is gritty, these Disco Glosses happen to change colour!  I have the shade Groovy which is a beautiful shade of green with beautiful darker flecks of glitter within the gloss which sparkle in the light.

Once applied onto the lips they are clear but within a few seconds, they change to your perfect shade of pink and look just stunning and they work just as well on their own as they do as a lipstick topper, depending on your preference.  Priced at £13.

Pink isn't usually the shade I would choose for my lips but there is something about having a pink which works with your skin tone which just works and from the swatches below, you can see how different each pink shade is.
