Lifetime of Chores - is this you?

Do you feel like life is a never-ending treadmill of hard work and no play? Well, you could be right! Research shows that our nation devotes an astonishing amount of time to everyday chores. In fact, each month, Britons spend almost twice as much time cleaning than playing with their children.

Our increasingly busy lifestyles mean that days are often a blur of working, cooking, cleaning and paying bills, leaving us with less time to do the things we truly enjoy. These mundane – yet essential – tasks are so ‘normal’ to us that we don’t always realise just how much time we spend keeping on top of endless chores.

But, don’t lose hope. Our research shows that socialising with friends and watching our favourite sports on TV still play an important part in our lives. Not only that, but, the way we divide our time often differs depending on our gender or the region we live in.

Are you associated with a region of fitness fanatics or a lager louts, sassy socialites or naughty nappers? Do stereotypical roles of women ‘looking after the home’ still exist?

Take a look at how your leisure habits compare to the nation to find out…

  1. I always seem to be doing one of the following:

    (a) Cleaning
    (b) Washing Up
    (c) Ironing
    (d) Moaning that I spent all day doing all of the above and already Nathan and/or Stacey has messed it up!

They are crazy stats. I'm hiring a cleaner next week ...
