Yankee Candle HAUL!!!

I am a massive Yankee Candle fan. I love them and became fascinated with them when I was given a Lavender scented one by a friend.  The candles has always been something I had hankered after, but was never quite sure whether they were worth the money.  I was surprised to find that Yankee candles have been around since the Christmas of 1969. The story goes that a young American boy named Mike Kittredge a young had no money to buy a gift for his Mother at Christmas, so using his initiative instead he melted some wax crayons to make her a candle. It is then said that a neighbour saw this candle and convinced Mike to sell the candle to her and it is with that money he bought some more wax to make two candles - one for his mother as he had originally planned and the second to sell. This was the birth of Yankee Candle. Yankee Candle is an American brand which is now sold worldwide in over 400 stores.

Yankee Candle has become the most-recognised name in the candle business and is one of the best selling candle brands with over 150 fragrances, I struggled to name more than 20 different scents but Yankee Candle have an impressive number of fragrances that I do in my lifetime intend to make my way through. These Yankee Candles come in a variety of shapes and sizes and with that so do the price and in some cases accessories. When I bought my first Yankee Candle I did have some difficulty in deciding which fragrance to go for because there are so many, so I opted for something that was a new smell to me and something I knew I would like. As well as candles you can also buy Reed Diffusers, car fragrances, candle accessories, tea light holders and so on, everything you can think of to sell alongside or to accompany a candle, then Yankee probably sells them and everything can be bought online or via a high street retailer who has the Yankee Candles in stock, places like Clinton Cards and Hallmark card shops tend to stock Yankee Products these days, which makes ..

Yankee Candle HAUL!!!
I think you can guess I love the Soft Cotton scented one and I bought two medium sized candles which cost £8.00 each - bargain.  Then I also bought 4 of the little sampler votive, again in Soft Cotton which are a whole £1 each, 2 Sweet Pea ones, again for £1 each (not pictured) and then two medium Sweet Pea jars, which again are £8 each and not pictured.  Asda also sell the bigger jars of these candles for £12.97 which is such brilliant value for money that I intend to stock up as soon as they replenish the stocks.

The medium jar will burn between 55-75 hours which compared to the official Yankee Candle store for their 'medium' candle which costs £16.99 you get 65-90 hours of burn time.  Naturally you are getting better value from the Candles available in Asda.

Also pictured is a small Baby Powder, small Water Garden both of which also smell divine and finally there is Cinnamon Stick and Ocean Blossom.  The final one in the picture is my Lemon Lavender candle which I adore and it is in my bedroom.

Yankee Candle HAUL!!!
And above you can see some of my candles on the shelf in my lounge with my Lucky Bamboo and a few other items, including my reed diffuser from Primark which I seriously adore - Mango and Coconut it is and it smells wonderful and cost £3, again total bargain and i've got 2 candles with the same scent (£2) in my bathroom.

What is your favourite Yankee Candle?

  3. I used to have so many Yankee Candles. I ended up selling them all at a yard sale. I would go to their flagship store in Deerfield, Massachusetts the day after Christmas when they had a big sale and literally buy 100 candles. I still love candles but I buy different brands now.
