Tiana Organic Coconut Water

I love coconuts.  I love their smell, their taste, their texture and their ability to do so many wonderful things to the body both inside and out.  So when I was contacted to see if I was interested in trying New Tiana Fresh Coconut Water, I immediately said yes.

It wasn't too long ago that everyone I know have drinking Coconut Water and I wanted to be part of that ‘gang’ and try it too, everyone seemed to love it and across newspapers and in magazines, celebrities were seen drinking coconut water.  So when I tried coconut water in the past to be honest, I have hated it.  To me it has tasted like tap water with a soluble aspirin in it, a sharp after-taste with floaty bits and I have never finished a bottle, carton or can of Coconut juice to date, even though I insist on trying them all.

Tiana Coconut Water comes direct from fresh, young coconuts and it is canned within 3 hours of those coconuts being opening.  That means it maintains taste and freshness as well as maximising all the nutritional values for which coconut water has become famous.  It is not only a Fair Trade product but it is also 100% pure, certified organic, nothing added, Vegan friendly and it contains No GMO, No fat, No cholesterol, No preservatives, No additives, No added sugar and it is even low in calories.  In essence nothing is added to this coconut water, what you get inside your can, is what has come out of that coconut.  Naturally it is has a low acidity level which means it won’t irritate your stomach like some drinks can.  Naturally coming from Coconuts, this drink is highly beneficial and nutritious for the body because it is a natural isotonic containing all those essential electrolytes, vitamins, amino acids and enzymes that help recovery and rehydration after exercise and that is why these days we see more and more well-known athletes drinking coconut water because it re-hydrates the body quicker than water.

So when the cans duly arrived with a box full of other goodies (more reviews on those to come) I was intrigued by the coconut water. It comes in a 350ml can which is slightly bigger than your average can of Coca Cola and as shown in the pictures below, everything you need to read about is present on the can, which itself is eye-catchingly bright blue colour with a lady drinking coconut water from a young green coconut – the can clearly cleverly designed so you can imagine that image to be what you are drinking inside and when it comes to ‘what’s in it?’ it is all displayed very clearly:

Once the can is open, the first thing you smell is coconut, then as you pour the drink into a glass, again shown below, there is a slight hint of colour to the coconut water, a sort of very diluted orange juice colour.  When I tried this for the first time, I was expecting to hate it, I had it in my head that all coconut water was designed to taste like a dissolved aspirin  so when this wasn’t the flavour I got, I was quite surprised.  What I got I can best describe as being clean tasting, unsweetened drink which tasted like coconut and I really liked it.  It was definitely refreshing but so easy to drink without having to add anything to it or put it in something, on its own lovely to drink, I have already purchased a further 6 cans which are chilling nicely in my fridge.
